Hi! Everyone, i'm new to the blogging stuff and its my first time writing messages
but i'm also applying for the WCCCD nursing program this month for the fall 2014 semester and i'm super excited!!
i did very well on the Hesi exam, finished all my pre-req at wcccd, have health care experience and several certifications. i cant wait to apply, i wish everyone good luck on being accepted.....i'll keep everyone posted on my journey!!
Me too!! They will probably dangle us along until the eighth weeks. It would be nice if we could know sooner because I was looking at the nursing books online, I planned on buying one so I could start reading ahead. There at a good price, have you looked at the nursing books on amazon?
I spoke to my friend she just graduated from wcccd nursing program she said that they send out the letters late. So it's looking more like the 8th week!!! :)
No I haven't looked at the books yet if I find out I got accepted it will def be one of the first things I do! And yeah I figured lol the wait is gonna drive me crazy!
I was just reading your posts. I also applied for the nursing program and was looking for info. I called the office today because I was not sure if we were notified either way of acceptance. I found out that they added another application meeting at the end of this month. She said that it would be about 45 days after that!! The wait is killing me...
Wow!!! Really I didn't know that. And it would be nice of they would communicate that to us, so people like us that applied to the Nursing Program wouldnt have to wonder what's going on.
I am very nervous! Its a long time to wait to find out. I do not know where I stand among the other applicants. I think I did pretty well...I have a 3.85 gpa, and I averaged 92 on the HESI, but I do not have any experience so I lost points there. Have you heard what others have? I heard some talking at the meeting that they had 95 to 98 points....but that could be talk.
I have 4 of 5 pre reqs at wcccd. I think my score is between 90 to 93. I think the only points I lost were the five for experience and 2 for pre req. I believe I have full points for the hesi but I think they give points for each section, not for combined score. I did get an A in mirco, so I hope that helps. Good luck to you....hopefully in 45 days we will all be posting that we received acceptance letters!!!
