Wcccd 2014 fall nursing hopefuls

Published

Hi! Everyone, i'm new to the blogging stuff and its my first time writing messages

but i'm also applying for the WCCCD nursing program this month for the fall 2014 semester and i'm super excited!!

i did very well on the Hesi exam, finished all my pre-req at wcccd, have health care experience and several certifications. i cant wait to apply, i wish everyone good luck on being accepted.....i'll keep everyone posted on my journey!!

Yea I figured that sounded to good to be true. These 6-8 weeks is gonna feel like 6-8 months .....lol

I know seriously I'm more nervous now that they only take half the people they used to take! I bet you'll get it in though! :)

Thanks I hope so, I'm just as nervous as you are. And I wonder why they stopped accepting 120 people per semester? Does anybody know?

I heard it was because so many people dropped out during the semester so they decided to cut back. Im not 100% if that's why but that's what someone told me

Also for the application did you just go up to your high school to get your transcripts? I ordered mine off parchment but did not receive them yet and I'm getting nervous that they won't come before next Friday.

I gave them a copy of my high school diploma. For my college transcript I ordered them off webgate and they came within a couple of business days.

I did my college transcripts already and copied my high school diploma. You didn't give them your high school transcripts? The sheet I have said we need them for the application.

You are right the information packet does say high school transcripts and copy of high school diploma!!! So I called the nursing office at the northwest campus and she said you need one or the other. I called because I only submitted a copy of diploma and I just wanted to double check to make sure I wasn't missing any documents for my application.

Finally when you go to the nursing application meeting they will give you a sheet with the items needed to complete the application. And for the documents for high school it says submit your high school diploma OR GED OR transcripts so any one item shouldbe expectable for your application. But as all ways call the nursing office and double check for yourself!! I hope this helps!! :)

Thanks it helped for sure! I'll probably call them too just to double check and make sure they tell me the same thing! I was stressing over my hs transcripts not coming in time now I feel much better. Thanks again! :)

@soontobern_84 What text books are you using can you include the title, Arthur and serial #?

I went to the application meeting today and they told me it would be 6-8 weeks before we heard anything about getting accepted
