I'm not sure what you're looking at...

My promissory note just says Fall 2011.

My aid letter says 11/12 - fall/spring.

Do you have something that says 10/11?

My aid letter says 2010/2011 and it's only for half of what I qualified for for 2010/2011. She said i only get half because there's only one semester but that's not what the director of financial aid at MOC told me. I was hoping to have the other half to use going forward as my yearly allotment isn't enough to cover tuition.

I'm goig to look into buying a e-reader and get e-books. They are about half the price of the paperbooks. There are tons of features such as highlighting,sharing, emailing, bookmarking, etc! You can even "write" notes. It beats carrying those big monster books around and you can pretty much study anywhere!! Oh,and some offer cool features like quizzes!

The way financial aid works is You get an award. If it's more than what you need, it can and will rollover to the next semester. If you lack funds, then you will have to get a govt student loan or private loan.

Yea, I forgot to mention those $50... I was surprised with that too!!

Yup, the rate is increasing and we will have to pay the higher rate after summer.

she said I won't get the other half because the fall semester is 2011/2012. So then I start over for the '11/'12 school year. Makes you wonder why the "director" of financial aid told me something different. She knew I was going to be starting in June and that there is only one semester. Who knows? :confused:

Lady~ just an fyi for you.... my friend is in medical school and she said that an e-reader is great except for books that have a lot of illustrations and things that need to be in color. Even with a color nook, she said it doesn't come thru the way it should.

You're right about financial aid rolling over except that we are coming in at the end of the year so we don't get the full amount of what fafsa said we qualify for for '10/'11. We only get half of what our fafsa said for '10/'11. So frustrating!!!

MOC seems a little disorganized. When I was there, the two of them were having quite a heated discussion in front of me about the raised rate for credits. Hopefully, the professors will have their $%&^! together. :yeah:

Do you know if all the books for our classes are available in that format?

I just bought all of my books ...most of them off ebay and I paid $370 for all of them. I'm taking the full 25 credits.

Has anybody been able to get onto moodle? I can log in but when I try to look at my classes, there's a whole bunch of classes and when I click on summer and then on the english class, it says "not enrollable at this time" anybody having the same problem?

I was on noodle, but it's not very easy to maneuver!! I gave up and decided to wait since Dr. C told me it would probably take a full week to be functional with my info.
