Watts School of Nursing June

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

The $ 395 is for everybody when fall starts unfortunately. And I found out that books aren't included in watts tuition anymore. First semester at watts is around $ 400. Geez!!! I guess I'll have to dig up that treasure chest I have buried in my backyard!!!!

I think the NC grant is only good for the fall semester. Maybe because

the summer semester is not "traditional"?

I just read in Watts' handbook that the first semester is $6500 inclusive of tuition, books, uniforms, fees, and equipment.

I think I'll call today and figure this out.

Okay, Yes, books have been taken out of the per semester cost, but the $6550 may have gone down a little bit.

I'll find out in a little bit and let you know for sure.

I was told that the 395 does not apply to us and the Watts fees were the same. The promissory note that I signed says that I owe a cetain amount (380 per credit) that is due by December 1 that is for Fall 2011. I don't think they can change it now. They signed the note too.

Please let me know what you find out. This is getting frustrating.

I just met with moc yesterday and they said everybody will have to pay the $ 395 even though my paperwork did say $ 380 as well. The cost of watts also has gone up to $ 6575. Also I didn't know that I had to pay $ 50 to moc yesterday. That would've been nice to know ahead of time. Did anyone else sign a promissory note for the 10/11summer part?

Yeah, I signed a prom note for Fall 2011, Watts 14, for the full

summer/fall amount. I don't see how they can change it now. I'm sure

they'll find a way though.

Still haven't heard back from Watts.

I'm confused ....summer is part of 10/11 and fall is 11/12 so shouldn't there be two different promissory notes?

My promissory note is for $7220 - 19 hours times $380. That is all my classes with MOC. It's labeled Fall 2011.

Is that different than yours?

Mine is $ 9500 and says fall 2011. But I'm taking more credit hours. She told me I get $ 4750 for summer amd then the same for fall. But the fall is a different year. How are you paying for watts in january bc thats the 11/12 year also

When I got my second financial aid award letter, it broke it down into Fall and Spring. Fall is MOC and Spring is Watts. I have no clue how I'm paying for the remainder of Watts that aid doesn't cover. I guess I'll focus on passing all the prereqs first so I can even get into Watts.

So I spoke with Ms. Hawkins at Watts....

The cohort starting in August is paying $6575 per semester. Our price for January is not set yet, but will likely be close to that.

Books are not included in that price. Books for the first semester run about $400 and then are less in the following semesters.

Watts will send out a letter in the fall with more information.
