Watts School of Nursing June

Wanted to see who else is going to Watts (Mt Olive) starting in June. I just got my acceptance letter today! Wondering who my fellow classmates will be!

TIB- coffee! now you're talking!!! i'm not taking anything in place of history just yet... and that's due to my VA benefits... i actually might not have to replace it... but still not sure... :confused:

AA- I got a new backpack too!!! yay! wife won't let me get the trapper keeper with the lamborgini on it though :( they still make those? lol

I hear ya, I didn't get anything "fun" either...but I

did get a bright color so if I get lost, someone can spot me!

I'm not sure about the Lamborghini...maybe a soft, fuzzy kitten?? :)

Ah...trapper keepers!! I used to have those... The good ol'days! I think I will use a wheely bag for my stuff. Just don't feel like lugging all these things around.

Tib: Ext classes I'm taking are marriage & family, creative activities & advocacy for children (psych class) and I think a photography class... Can't remember 100% right at this moment.

I didn't qualify for that NC grant, since I'm not considered a resident yet. :(

I cant get the NC grant either. I don't understand why though. He said something about the timing of the summer semester or fall. It made no sense to me. I sure could use the extra $$.

Lady- does it take a whole year before you gain residency?

TIB- I agree you definitely should call back!!! the financial portion was VERY confusing!!!!

fyi to everybody.... the rate per credit is going up from $380 to $395 in the fall. She told me I'm the only one who knows b/c she just found out while I was standing there talking to financial aid.

TIB... you need to call them.. the only requirement to get the scholarship is being a NC resident for one year. I just bought my books....ouch!! But my Human Anatomy and Pysiology book that was $140 on Amazon I got for $39 on ebay(with the cd)

I so wish we could skip these pre-reqs and go straight to watts!!! I opened the math book and I already need a tutor!

I was trying not to be negative, but when I opened the Math book it scared the bejeezers out of me. I'm glad you guys feel the same way.

I will call the finacial aid person today. $395 that is just insane. Glad we are locked in.
