I just checked my self-serve account and the amount on my pell grant was increased:yeah:. From what I understood from my conversation with the FA person is the portion that is stated on our award letter is just for the summer portion. We will get additional $$ for the fall semester. I hope I understood correctly. Did anyone get chosen for verification? I did, I guess I messed up on my FAFSA because my amount increased. I'm not complaining though.

I get zilch!! It stinks!! I was approved for a govt student loan. Yes, the amount they told you is just for summer. You have to reapply for fall. However, if you get more than you need for summer, you can apply it to fall.

Lady, I have to take all of the classes $$$$. So I will be there for your 3 that you have to take. What others did you get into?

No syllabus yet, I keep checking on moodle.

TIB- it looks like you and i are taking all the classes... the only ones i'm not taking is history... makes me wish i didn't dodge math so much last time at school...

and my english classes? and religion classes? weird... but they took my history...

Jed, What are you taking instead of history? I wish that I had not messed around so much too. I'm not looking forward to any of these classes except A&P. I started reading my PSY book yesterday. I'm going to need alot of coffee!

I'm taking all but English and math.....wonder if I'll need any math in clinicals??

I got my PSY book too - surely we don't cover the whole thing in five weeks??

These books are expensive and heavy! Glad I got a new backpack for all this stuff!

Syllabus for each class - I heard - is supposed to be out one week prior to the start of the class.

Where did you all get your books? I'm confused, I signed a promissory note for the fall 2011/2012 but not for summer? Did anybody else get the $ 925 nc grant? I dont understand why I got it for moc but not watts. It's only for private schools but watts doesn't get any more private

Yeah, I got the $925 for MOC only. I'm not sure why Watts doesn't qualify.

There's also the reasoning behind the fact that MOC handles all of Watts' financial aid matters. Something to do with the way the school is accredited??

I'm not sure.

I'm getting my books online....easy to just go to Amazon and type in the ISBN.

Then you can get new or used.

Oh, by the way, everyone buying used books....I came across one that said it doesn't have the CD that came with it new. I don't know if we'll need the CDs for classes or not, but just be aware and watch for that.
