Here's a don't - The watches made by NurseMates get water in them! While water resistant is printed on the back, this may be referring to the "guts" of the watch and not the face. I'm the type to wash my hands and forearms THOROUGHLY after a run in with poop, vomit, bodily fluids (oh my!), and this watch is collecting water in the face. Condensation and water droplets obscure the second hand. This is just no good. I'm hesitant to get a Wal-Mart cheapie for that very reason. Fabric and leather are no-no's. I prefer the plastic variety (see my vigorous hand/arm washing routine above) because you can wash the band and swab with an alcohol wipe when necessary. Still searching for the perfect watch. I've got a few on my amazon wishlist to try.

Glad you found on you like. I was looking at those online but I always thought they look rather bulky and a little manly :)) is it very bulky?

I got a casio watch from target. Has military time, date, glow in the dark hands and a rubber band. It was like $30 or so and is a pretty good watch!
umm no its not really too bulky.. you can always try it on yourself. Yes they are manly but i dont care. I get what I like... and its something that i need also, d/t outdoor activities.

Since when can you wear a watch in an OR setting?
I prefer a fob watch that pins onto the chest of my scrubs -- no worries about germies, and I can use both hands in any position and still see my watch at any time.
omg..lol. I actually wore my fathers watch to take my state exam..talk about bulky and manly..but it worked..I have just now ordered one on my own..there is this site called the bradley exchange or something i will have to look it up and they have beautiful medical watches. I believe part of the proceeds go to breast cancer research to which is nice;)
