Wanting to transfer into a fast tracking program, Canadian student

Published

Hi, in December I was in my third year of nursing. Unfortunately my teacher did not like me at all and another teacher was my ex bf's sister in law and they failed me even though I passed all my classes marks wise. Well I plan on going back into nursing but I was hoping to only do a year and a half then a full blown two years. At my school we did not take a stats class. I took nursing in BC. Anyone know any options out there? I applied to UFV, and Trent. I am just waiting to hear back from them. I even applied to Australia where its only 3 years. I'm that desperate. I have been going to school for 6 years now and I just want tot travel and have a life and not be broke for once. Thanks

Maybe she failed because she can't write! Communication is very important in nursing.

I smell a fake story as does loriangel.

I'm sorry then. It sounds like you've wasted an entire year trying to get into an Australian school. Maybe you could just stay in Canada and redo nursing school?

Are you aware that an Australian university is going to cost you upwards of $25000 PER YEAR as an international student?

be faster just to go to australia cause they accepted me for a year and a half. yes I realize it will be expensive but I want too be done so what other choice do i have

I think you need to find something new. Rip the bandaid off and throw the towel in.

There are many different great professions out there.

From what I have gathered thus far, fast track nursing programs don't usually accept students with a nursing background. Or in other words if you are transferring out of a NORMAL 4 year program because now you've decided that you want to finish faster in the 2 year program, they will not accept you. I mean, I could be wrong about this but this is what I've been told. Seeing as you have posted this last year I think you have a far better change of just completing the four year program because the longer you wait the more time you will waste just waiting to see if you get accepted into the accelerated program.
