Emailing an old job back
Hi, just over a year ago I went for this job interview for anaesthetics but never got the job. I only applied cause I was really interested in scrub/scout eventually. Anyways I never got the job. But a month later he said to come back for an interview in scrub/scout. I went for the interview and he told me he would love to hire me but I have to get my permanent residency first as I live in Australia and I'm Canadian. I eventually got it but by that time I decided I was going to do some travelling. We never communicated again. Now I am interested in going back. Could I email him or have I already burned that bridge? Thanks

Travelling around the world while having a full time job
Hi, I've been feeling a bit stressed lately. I want a work/travel balance. I'm trying to do one trip a year and want to go to a few places on my bucket list before settling down. This year I want go take 5 weeks off to go to Egypt and next year I'm thinking about taking 3 months off to work in Saudi Arabia. The year after that I want to go back home for a visit to Canada for three week then India for three weeks. The year after that I want to go to South America for three months. Then I'm done. Is that too much? Is it possible to find a full time nursing job that will allow me to do that?

How to become a nurse practitioner
Hi, I know how to become a nurse practitioner but my question is what steps do I need to do to get hired as one. I see there aren't very many jobs and only been a nurse for two years. I would like to set myself up for the future. Do you just ask work to hire you as one? And what areas of nursing are you most likely to get a job? Thanks

Where to work abroad
Hi, I am currently a registered nurse in Australia. I got my degree from Australia but am originally from Canada. One reason I went into nursing was to travel with it. I have looked at going to England but its way too expensive and have to go there and wait to get a job and be registered. I want to know I have a job beforehand. Anyone know any good websites or know any good countries that will take nurses? Thanks

How to resign from a job
Hi I currently work at 2 different jobs. One job is in eye surgery where I am casual working 1 or 2 days a week. We are currently short staffed and people going on holidays and another person recently quit. So therefore they tried to make me quit my other job even offering more money. I also have another job, permanent part time working 3 days a week and them trying to get me to go full time but the pay isn't great and not where I want to be. I finally got offered a job I really want thats full time and great pay and walking distance from my house. I am quite scared to quit and have major anxiety. I know its not my fault they are short staff but I know both jobs will give me the cold shoulder and won't be nice. I know I need to do what is best for me but won't jobs see it coming so I feel quite bad. I am scared I will get yelled at and stuff. Just need some advice and what I should say? Thanks

Dirty needle jab
Hi, I work in surgery and we have these packs that don't have anything to put sharps in so at the end of surgery we have to pick up all the sharps and throw it in the sharps container. One day we had a busy day and were running late and had been working over my 8 hours and I grabbed it and I felt a poke I looked down and the needle was out but it went through my glove and did jab me a tiny bit in the skin. Wasn't deep but did bleed. I was embarrassed as I have only been working there since Jan and my boss can get angry easily. I looked at the patients history and she doesn't have anything to worry about. I know its bad but I felt ashamed and stupid so I didn't say anything. Can I just go to my local GP?
