Wanting to give up

Nursing Students General Students

I have been a CNA for almost 15 years and I have taken almost but two of my RN pre-req's. I have two kids now but I really want to make a better life for us. I thought that if I did my LPN then I could just go back but this is the third time I didn't pass a class by three points. I don't know if this is for me anymore but I love the medical field. Then I just don't know if I want to do something else. Should I just give up? or should I keep trying? I just am so tired of falling short and not making it.....

My own brother tried to give up his ambition.  My siblings and I helped him to attend a reputable university. It was his dream to be the man he envisioned. Nowadays, he has his own practices, and he also teaches and trains people while others train me. O_O

Ten years ago, he was sobbing over his frustration. Now, he is a different man.

Go for it.

1- Write you name and put your upcoming credential next  to it, Example-Sara Smith, LPN. Keep one where you study, one on the mirror, one in the bathroom.

2-Surround yourself with people who uplift you, ignore the naysayers.

3-Ask for help and use resources to keep studying like PICMONICS.

4-Make sure you take 30 mns- 1 hour everyday for yourself just to chill and regroup.

Please don't give up!

One of my best friends is now a senior scientist for the EPA, with degrees from UC Berkeley, Stanford, and CalTech.  Yet, she struggled with calculus and had to take it 7 times!  She started in community college and ended up with degrees from some of the most prestigious science universities in the world.
