Wake Tech ADN Fall 2015

U.S.A. North Carolina

I am applying to the Fall 2015 nursing program and was wondering if anyone else was applying. I also wanted to know what points you have, I just want to estimate my chances of getting in for the Fall. I know the Fall semester is always harder to get in at Wake Tech. I am also applying to other programs as well just because I feel like I will be put on the wait list at Wake Tech. :arghh: Just feeling anxious.

Practice hand wash, foley care or emptying and measuring intake n output, downing, Full VS's.

I got my call today. I've been accepted for fall.

Congrats!

Congrats on getting accepted!!!

That's a relief knowing I don't have to try to memorize the steps in all 24 skills again. I was told it was hand washing, PPE, emptying a foley, and vital signs. I was told you have to perform the skills as if you were taking the state test, but they are a little more lenient.

Anyone know about the books? I'm hoping I can use the books given to me even though it's a different edition.

That is true. If you do not perform the skills as expected you will have one more chance but if you do not pass the skills you are out the programí ½í¸µ

I won't stress about the books but you will need the codes for the simulation lab. At least for fundaments. I heard that the codes are more expensive than the books so I will try comparing the price for the combo and the price for a single item. Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS! Yay!

And awesome I had to print off the skills book from online

Thank you!!

Congrats to everyone. Can you all believe the new points system at Wake Tech for the TEAS test. No more 50 points for those with a score of 71 or above. It's actually lower.

I saw that! And they changed it to where you can only take it twice a year instead of three for those who don't pass it the first time.

Yes, I just read the new Teas information too; sounds like they're making it harder to get in.

I'm so nervous now. I've considered retaking bio 169 again to get an A. I've gotten Bs in the majority of my Bios in all classes and a C English. Do you know if they take the first grade attempted or the better of the two?
