Wake Tech ADN Fall 2015

U.S.A. North Carolina

I am applying to the Fall 2015 nursing program and was wondering if anyone else was applying. I also wanted to know what points you have, I just want to estimate my chances of getting in for the Fall. I know the Fall semester is always harder to get in at Wake Tech. I am also applying to other programs as well just because I feel like I will be put on the wait list at Wake Tech. :arghh: Just feeling anxious.

The book bundle is 908 at the bookstore. The total cost of books is about 1100. I decided not to go with the e book because through the bookstore its like $80. I found it on alibis.com for 94.98 total with shipping. They don't charge tax. It was originally like 98.99 but there was an $8 coupon code. I'm all about some coupons now lol. I am in 4302. I also volunteered for the evening clinical rotation.

I'm in 4302 as well.

I have the two big books and I'm just trying to figure out if I should buy the rest that we need online or is it really going to be that big of a savings. I just want to make sure I have everything.

I looked up some of them online when I got the bundle and some places and people wanted in the $150s for a couple of them

So the code price for the elsevier simulation learning system is $250.00 online.

I emailed Beth Friday. She said she has not been given the go ahead to accept any alternates at this time until grades are posted soon. I don't know when grades will be posted, she didn't say.

Hi Duchess Kate,

First of all, Congratulations! Im a waketech pre nursing student and I'm planning to apply this spring. Does this mean that they will wait for my grades to be posted after I apply this spring? I still have 2 classes to take this spring and I just wanted to see if my grades will be enough to get in this January.

Hi WSMom, I will be applying in the spring as well. I am very nervous. I have two classes I plan to take spring semester since applications are not due until July. As far as I know since grades will be posted well before the application due date, any classes taken during the spring can be used for ranking points. With this change in the TEAS I am nervous about points. Hoping that the points that I have will be enough!

So can anyone give me and idea of what points will look like for fall 2016? I am freaking out about to take my TEAS because I am at about 173 pts and apparently you can't get 50 points anymore so where are all my points going to come from if I can only get an extra 20 points with an A!!! Ugh:/

Hi MrsBarron07! I know exactly how you feel! I think though with the change in the TEAS applicants can only get a max of 214 or 216 points. So your 173 points are without the TEAS? Or are you taking the TEAS again? I only have 156 points including the TEAS, but I'm also taking two more classes before I apply. The max points I'd be applying with is probably somewhere between 180-186. I'm applying in July though.

I currently have 173 points without the TEAS but I was freaking out because I'm like where am I going to make up all those points if the fall entry points are still very high but I assume they have to be lower now. I take the TEAS test on Friday and I do not feel ready at all!

I am sure you will do fine! It's not bad at all. Good luck! But I have been hunting for the same information (what points students have for fall 2016) because that will give me an idea as to how the spring will be.

My advisor told me today that the base points should start at 155 for the fall to get in since the TEAS is no longer worth 50pts.

I hope that's true! If that is the case, then more than likely the points for the spring will be a tad lower than the 155. Who did you speak with? Ms. Watkins?

I would imagine so and yes that's who I spoke with.
