Wake Tech ADN Fall 2015

I am applying to the Fall 2015 nursing program and was wondering if anyone else was applying. I also wanted to know what points you have, I just want to estimate my chances of getting in for the Fall. I know the Fall semester is always harder to get in at Wake Tech. I am also applying to other programs as well just because I feel like I will be put on the wait list at Wake Tech. :arghh: Just feeling anxious.

Do you mind me asking what range of points you had? I am applying to several other schools also. JCC, Durham Tech, CCCC, just to name a few. I'm like you I'm getting in somewhere

I am also applying for Fall 2015. My point total was 192 after the TEAS and all my class point totals were added up. Last semester acceptance point range was like 180 ish - 246 I do believe. Im also guessing letters will be sent out the week of March 23rd.

I have applied to WTCC and DTCC. I don't think I got in at DTCC. My points at WTCC was 197 and I was told the minimum points accepted in Fall 2014 was 201 :(. I called yesterday and I was told they were on "R" names and letters would go out the week of April 6th.

Is that that what they told you when you had called wake tech?

Yes. I met with an advisor after taking my TEAS exam and he told me last fall was 201 and last spring was in the 180's. Im hoping the numbers are a little lower for fall 2015!!

Last falls was in the 211s is what they told us at the information session we were required to go to. They said that's the highest they have had. For spring it was like 186+

I kinda figured they wouldn't be releasing thay information just yet lol..

211 points was the MINIMUM accepted???? I thought about emailing to ask how many applicants applied and how many they will accept this year, but I didn't want to be a PITA! I'm just so nervous and anxious and not feeling very hopeful :(

They don't start releasing Info until AFTER admission letters have been sent. And yes there was a mandatory information session you were supposed to attended prior to applying to the program. They accept about 80 people per semester. And yes last fall 211 was the minimum. They said that was the highest they have had. People still haven't completed a few classes who have applied. So if you applied in January in the process of taking classes those classes don't count towards your point scale.

I attended the info session. Guess I missed that part. I'll just keep my fingers crossed I get in!!!

I have been to several Information sessions in the past and every fall they say that it was the most applicants they have had and the points seem always to be higher. I think they do that to discourage some folks. I know that the letters are coming out this late (April 6th) because they did not know how many seats they were going to have available at the beginning of March. Hence for a later letter. Usually they would come out end of march with an orientation date of around April 12th. (from previous years). I remember them saying at the orientation that the acceptance points were around 209 minimum. But some years the applicant pool points are lower. I remember a girl saying one year and I want to say 2013 fall the points were a lot lower. So it just depends if there are a lot more people with higher points applying and the only thing that I don't like is that they don't give preference to WTCC students. So you have people from other schools applying. For spring 2014 the pool was around 186 to get in. And they don't count classes taken in the Spring for fall points. I guess I will be posting if I get in but I have a feeling it will be the waiting list. :arghh:

I think it's fair they don't give priority to wake tech students. It just gives everyone a fair chance at getting accepted. I'm one of those students all my classes are transferring in from two different schools. I understand the anxiety, Ive had it bad the past couple of days. I'm taking a phlebotomy class in the mean time. A lot of other schools like johnston tech won't find out until about June for their nursing acceptance. But I was told because of the snow and ice is why they were delayed in getting the letters sent out on a timely manner. They usually accept around 80 if I'm correct and 40 alternates. My points are 192 so I'm either one or the other. I guess I'll find out soon enough...
