Waiting for your results come in here

I am so anxious its not funny I cant do anything, it is crazy that we have to go through this, what kind of test makes you go this insane after taking? The scary part for me is the fact that I found some of my questions very easy; and that worries me because I have heard that if it becomes easy then you have failed. What a girl to do ?:o

I just got back from taking my nclex this morning. When I got there, the building was testing the fire alarms for what seemed like forever but thank god it stopped by the time we started the test. I was surprised that I got my own room; it seemed like the facility had one private room and one big room. My 3rd question was priority and I got a bunch of those. It seemed half the test was priority. I had one med calc and 5-6 SATA. I had like 3 'which patient would you place with this patient' and maybe 1 delegation. Comp turned off at 75. I don't know what to think, very ambivalent. I know the odds are with me with only having 75 questions but I'm worried I didn't get many delegation and patient assignment questions. We shall see.

AMEN Ms. JKM I am happy to have you guys around we have not met physically but we are sisters and partners in this.

:balloons: Congratulations CarolinaPooh Where in Carolina are you?

I thought about your question and changed my profile - Blue Devil Country.

I took the test on Friday. On question 50, I didn't feel I was doing very good and hoped that I'd go over 75 in order to prove myself. By question 75, I was hysterical. Then the test shut off. I had ear plugs on so I don't know how loudly i said, "OMG! I failed!"

That's been my feeling through the weekend. The worst part about this is that CA doesn't have quick results. So in the event that I do fail, I won't know for sure until I get some God awful letter telling me so!

In addition to all of this, a couple hours after finishing the test, the nursing educator of the department that hired me (was interviewed by the nurse manager of the department that i precepted in) told me that I was hired and will be starting on Feb. 25. She asked me when I planned on taking the NCLEX...oh the agony...So of course I told her that I was in fact still in the aftershock of taking the infamous exam. After ending our conversation with some words of encouragement, I was left all alone with an agonizing feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I weathered through the past couple of days by drowning my myseries with movies and TV shows that I very "legally...ahem" downloaded. So that's my story. I'm hoping to hear from any CA test takers out there who took their test at or around Feb1 to see if your names show up on rn.ca.gov. =)

I was in same boat couple of days ago, I also start my job on the 25th I was a wreck if it makes you feel any better I puked and cried. But I passed look at the bright side; by shutting off at 75 there is a higher probability that you passed. I am yet to find a Nurse who said I walked out from that exam room knowing I passed and started celebrating. So my dear what you are going through is perfectly normal. Good luck I will be looking for your passing post. :pumpiron:

Hey Vill, I'm in CA and also took my test on Friday. From what I read here, it takes a minimum of 48 hours for your name to show up on the board's site, so tomorrow would be the first possible day it could show up. Good luck!

I PASSED!

I had to check 3 times before I could let myself believe that it was truly my name that was on the BRN website! Words cannot begin to describe the state of euphoria that I am in! and its 6:25 in the morning! Who am I to talk to! My brother, also an RN, grunted when I shouted the good news! LOL!
