I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
Completely empty mailbox for me though One of my neighbors was walking back looking at her mail, so it should already be here, it normally is by this time of the day.
Stupid letter, driving me absolutely bonkers. Might have to weigh in on the Wii Fit and then head straight to the wine

I totally have theories on this (because what else, am I going to do, really. lol)
Theory 1: The letters will be DONE being sent out on the 15th. Accepted/Rejected RN/LPN. Some will burst out before then.
Theory 2: They picked a day far in advance to say on the phone, so that overanxious students like me will leave them alone.
Or
Theory 3: They work slower than all of the other campuses, and they are telling the truth.
Theory 4 - They want to put me into the loony bin. It's working!
I know that it takes mail longer to get here from the Indy campus but now I'm all super paranoid that I didn't get anything today. What if they decided they don't want to take any students outside of their region??? I did everything right for them, even faxed my TEAS scores with a cover letter stating why I was faxing them, and then took off work early to drive up there and turn in my application in person. I was counting on Indy as my backup but what if all of this is true, that they don't want a Bloomington person, and then I don't have a backup anymore? I knew I should have turned in LPN applications too. I hate EVERYTHING right now.
Boy that stinks Hopefully it's theory 2 for you guys!
I'm making myself sick...what if my mail just doesn't come today? It's never this late but I know it hasn't come yet cuz I've been at the window for 3 hrs.
Lennon, I know this is 100% hypocritical, but try to relax until you get a REJECTION letter (which you wont)!!! You did awesome and I'm sure you will get in somewhere.
Lennon, I truly don't think they care what region your home is in. . . your application is the same as anyone else's, just doesn't have the extra 3 pts for region. If Indy people are getting theirs today, then you WILL get yours tomorrow.
If Bloomington is your first choice, I think you will def. get in there if you get an 'in' letter from Indy tomorrow!
