I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
After a long hiatus....I remembered this website! I am so excited that something jogged my memory!!I applied to Bloomington, RN and LPN. Still waiting to get any letter at this point. I almost broke down today to call and see if the letters went out, anyone else thinking of calling
Yay! I'm glad to see another Bloomington person! I'm too scared to call and see if they've gone out. But if you end up calling, please let us know
Lennon, is it ironic that you asked if you were the only btown poster, and two of us come out of the wood work??? Crazy. I just finished catching up reading all the back posts from this forum. Ok here's my thought, no letters tomorrow I am forcing myself to call. I will block my call, so I don't get black-balled if the letters are still sitting there....what do you think? My mail comes around 11, are you able to check this web site while your a work you possibly could reduce the anxiety attack a bit?
I did apply to Bloomington too but I didn't think I would get in. not too confident in it but I thought it was worth a try. I applied to several places b/c I am not sure which location is going to work best for me. I love the Bloomington campus and it was my first choice at one point but I have flipped flopped on that. Just depends on WHERE i get in. I am of equal distance to several campuses.

Nope, not allowed to check this website at work I actually don't know what time my mailman comes, but at least I only have to wait until 3pm since that's when I get off work. And I do love that more Bloomington people are coming out of the woodwork, it makes me feel less alone! :)

Bloomington is definitely my first choice, especially since I only live about 5 minutes from campus :) I took a class at Lawrence this past semester and I just didn't like the campus as much. Maybe I just didn't know where to look, but I never saw a single computer lab anywhere? But if that's the only campus I get into, maybe we'd move halfway there, like Greenwood or something, I don't know.
Welcome to new members! Happy to have you join us all in celebration and waiting...waiting...waiting :)
Congratulations again to those of you who have gotten your acceptance letters! I am so happy for all of you and thrilled that your hard work has paid off. You are so much closer to your dream! :) :loveya:
To those of us who are still waiting...Here's praying we hear something very soon! :) I get emails when this thread is updated. They come right to my cell phone. I sleep Thursdays since I work Wed/Thurs overnights, but am hoping the beeping of new emails will alert me to many excited acceptance letter openers so I can wake up and go tear open the mailbox! :)
Has anyone gotten a letter from Columbus? I applied to both RN and LPN at both Indy and Columbus. I haven't gotten anything yet, but has anyone gotten a letter that says they didn't get in? I was wondering if it says what place runner up for the RN program you are??? Also if you make the LPN program, do they pick from people in the LPN program for next in line if someone doesn't go through with the RN or do they pick from the next closest running total??? Here I go again, what if, what if, what if........AAAGGGHHHHH!!!!!
Well congrats to everyone!!! Cthomas, I knew you would make it!! Miss having class together!
Hey!!! I forgot teboz was YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, so sorry! Yeah, class was fun, you're great to study with
I hope we both get Indy - you'll love MommaSue!:loveya:

Welcome Colt63! I am sure if you read past posts you will see we all share your nervousness! That is one great thing about posting, and I think many of us agree, when our families get tired of our panic attacks, stories of stalking our mail carriers, and sleepless nights wondering if we included our home address on our applications, we can turn to this site and we know we're not alone! Good luck to you!
And...Ciograts to all those who have gotten their acceptance letters!
