Wait time for results in CA

Just a question. Anybody who took the NCLEX in CA, what was your average wait time for your results? Did you all check the CA BON everyday? Or wait for something in the mail? If you did either of those things how long was your wait...just curious. I just took my NCLEX last Monday the 9/29 and still waiting, I know it's still kinda soon to expect anything, but if anybody could just give me some insight into your experience, I'd appreciate it. Still nothing in the way of results......I'm starting to feel really horrible:crying2:

Nothing here either. Suzanne says ten days. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It can also take up to a month if the file is not complete. Until you see your name on their website or get written results from them, do not assume anything.

Remember that 85% pass the first time so the odds are in your favor.

Well, all this talk about files not being completed and so on, got me thinking.....so I called the CA BON, and let me tell you, I'm frustrated, I understand that the operators answer phones all day, but geezzzz I got a couple of RUDE people. I KNOW I can't get results from them and I would never ask for that. What I was asking for was to know if my file was up to date. And after dealing two operators that were rude......I finally was transferred to somebody who was nice......and according to them my file still shows my transcripts not having been received!!!!!!! Which I immediately called the school I graduated from and they said they sent the transcripts (I verified the address they were sent to as well) back on 2/13/08.....so, then I was transferred to my evaluator (didn't know I had one of those) and was instructed to leave a message with her regarding this issue.......my stress level just increased a few levels more........GGGRRRRRRR

But I guess the good thing was I found out a potential hang up in the result process, I don't know......

The same thing happened to my friend and it took her exactly one month to get her results (the first time she took her exam). I hate to tell you, but by the time they process your transcripts, you're looking at least another week or two before you know your results.

What makes me angry is this.....that I did everything I was supposed to do, before I graduated cause I was moving 4 hours away. But they were lost!!! And if there is nothing the BON can do about it cause they are lost, I'll have to deal with this long distance and make sure they are sent again, yada yada yada......

I hope your friend's wait was worth it and it was good news....cause right now I feel like I'm doomed:urgycld:

Thank you Suzanne for staying optimistic for us and empathizing with our worries. I know I must sound like a thousand other nclex test takers ranting and raving..like many others I'm sure, I just want to move on with my life and close this chapter of nursing school.

Hi SleeplessnNCA! When I get frustrated and feels like my head is gonna explode, I always go to this site. Somehow, it became my comfort zone... Its really nice to go look around and find others who's into a situation like mine.

I took my exam last Sept. 22. and up to now, no results yet. I applied for CA BON, and yes, since they don't participate in quick results, the waiting time is really agonizing. I check my name in their website once in a while but my name doesn't pop out. (sigh...) Like what Miss Suzanne said in one of her threads, I'm one those people who started reviewing after taking the exam (because in the far corner of my mind, I've accepted the fact that I failed ) Others say there's still a chance, so I guess all we have to do is wait.... GOODLUCK TO US!
