  1. Do you know Our Lady of Lourdes' telephone number in Olongapo? And Our Lady of Mt. carmel in San Fdo, Pamp? Thank you. :)
  2. Hi. I would suggest Global City Innovative College in The Fort, Taguig. I know someone who finished his BSN in 2 years (he's a 2nd courser, though). Also, Philippine Women's University (they have a branch near SM City North EDSA and Taft Ave.) Both school offers tri-semester, so I guess that'll help you finish your nursing asap. If you want cheap tuition fees, try Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila. This school has a good reputation of making NLE board topnotchers. After you graduate, they have free NLE reviews with the country's top Reviewers. Like what silverdragon said, many states requires a local license before they allow you to sit for the NCLEX exam. Best of luck!
  3. Im in Alabama right now, Im licensed in California. Will be moving to Buena Park this month though. :wink2:
  4. HELP! I'm a new Registered Nurse, I just passed the NCLEX last month and I'm still searching for a job. The problem is, I don't know where to start because I have no work experience. I still don't know what area of specialty I'm capable of. Should I start in a nursing home first before I try working in a hospital? What could be the most suitable area for someone like me? My friend said I should start with Telemetry or Med-surg. Any suggestions please? :thnkg: Is walk-in application better than applying online? Thanks!
  5. Thank you so much for sharing me your insights. :wink2:
  6. I just passed the NCLEX-RN and I'm just wondering if theres any agency that hire RN's without experience??? Thanks and happy holidays! :santa:
  7. Hi everyone! Does anyone knows any agency that grants US working visa? I have heard that some agencies even provides the NCLEX fees, plane tickets, etc. Please let me know. Thanks! Happy Holidays! :santa:
  8. Honestly, I thought I failed again because it stopped at 75 (just like my first one) Everyone was like, "So how was it? You think you got it this time?" And I'm like, "No, this one is even harder. It felt like my brain was crushing while I'm taking the exam. It was really horrible..." Then my friend called after 3 days, and told me that I passed. I really couldn't believe it!!! For me, it was really a miracle! But anyway, I did finished SAUNDER'S 4th ed. it really helped a lot... GOODLUCK on yours!!!
  9. I failed the exam the first time... But I took it again last Dec. 9, and now.... I PASSED!!!! Im soooo happy! Im still floating in the air. Thanks everyone. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :santa:
  10. Hi there! Yup, CA BON requires a local license before you can apply for the NCLEX. I graduated from the Philippines too. I dont have a license (because I left the country right after taking the NLE) but I passed the local board exam. I wrote them a letter and I attached my certificate of passing from PRC. Then wholah! They gave me an ATT. =) Did you take the local board? Hmmmm... if not, you can apply to Florida BON. My friend applied there, (she's not a license holder nor a board passer) and she just took her exam last Oct! =)
  11. Hi SleeplessnNCA! When I get frustrated and feels like my head is gonna explode, I always go to this site. Somehow, it became my comfort zone... Its really nice to go look around and find others who's into a situation like mine. I took my exam last Sept. 22. and up to now, no results yet. I applied for CA BON, and yes, since they don't participate in quick results, the waiting time is really agonizing. I check my name in their website once in a while but my name doesn't pop out. (sigh...) Like what Miss Suzanne said in one of her threads, I'm one those people who started reviewing after taking the exam (because in the far corner of my mind, I've accepted the fact that I failed ) Others say there's still a chance, so I guess all we have to do is wait.... GOODLUCK TO US!
  12. Yes I have SSN. I called them yesterday and they told me the result was sent last Oct. 3. Do you think I failed? Because that's what I'm thinking right now. It's really depressing. My family would be really disappointed.
