Was wondering if anyone who recently passed the NCLEX could tell me how long did it take the State BON to post your license number?
When I passed my NCLEX-PN exam (5 yrs ago), they had the issue date of the license as the date that my quick results became available (7/11) but my license number wasn't up on that date. And I can't seem to recall how long of a wait it was.
Can anyone tell me how long from when you got your quick results to when your name showed up with a license number?
Sparkles, your number should show up soon. You'll get an email from the State when they post your license number..just an FYI so you don't have to keep checking the license website. It took like 5 or so days for mine to post from the date my quick results showed up.
I tested on 7/9 and it was active on 7/12. Shouldn't have bothered spending the $8 for quick results.
You lucked out then. I waited quite a while for my name to show up after my quick results were up (took 5 days), but other classmates saw their license numbers the day after the quick results came up. Some are going on a week to see their name.
I think its hit or miss w/the BON. Depending on how many results they get at one time.
I did the PVT and got the good pop up, but wanted to see the quick results for actual confirmation of my passing. I would have paid that $8.00 regardless of if the State would have had my license up the day after the results were available..haha. Another 24 hrs wait would have been the end of me. ?
Anyone have any updated info on how long it takes the state to activate an RN license? I am still waiting. Its been a week since I tested (Friday 1/8) and still no number. I got my quick results on a Sunday so I'm hoping that my license will be active early in the week. I really just need it done before I start working in February.

You can call the state dept of public health and get your number if you need it for a position. Just because the website isn't updated doesn't mean you're not active... Also you won't receive a hard copy of your license until the third week of the month (that's when all licenses and renewals get mailed)
