Trump says he will send law enforcement, US attorneys to polls in November to prevent fraud

Quote

President Trump said Thursday that he plans to send law enforcement and U.S. attorneys to the polls in November to prevent voter fraud.

When asked by Fox News host Sean Hannity late Thursday night if the president was going to "have an ability" to monitor and avoid fraud during the upcoming November elections, Trump said, “We’re going to have everything.”

“We’re going to have sheriffs, and we’re going to have law enforcement. And we’re going to have hopefully U.S. attorneys, and we’re going to have everybody and attorney generals,” the president continued. ...

..“Nobody’s ever heard of anything like this,” he said.

“They may send them to all Democrat areas, not to the Republican areas as an example,” he added. “Could be the other way too, but I doubt it.”

Do we need more evidence that Trump is a despot, unfit for office.

Nobody’s ever heard of anything like this,” he said.

Again, this comment shows lack of knowledge of voting rights and regulations. I'm used to PA's voting regs with newspapers/TV stations yearly reminding voters. Each party has a rep at polling place that records name as Registrar Elections confirms with voter spelling is correct on voter role as we sign our name...

Will Police at Polling Places Cause Voter Intimidation?

Civil-rights organizations said that police officers who may be proactively placed at polling stations to guard against potential violence at the ballot box may actually cause voter intimidation.

I'd say the odds are good he'll try to find a way to skirt the law, just as he did when he militarized the DHS, shortly after General Milley refused to associate himself with Trump's attempt to use the military to disperse peaceful protesters in Lafayette Square.

That will likely include the parade of sycophants unable to take responsibility for the orders or to identify who gave them...we've read this simple Trump story before. House Republicans will shout about how the Democrats are trying to cause trouble and the administrationwill refuse to provide any documentation or communications to Congress.
