As what I've already mentioned in my past posts, the application process for the RN residency and for Employment are separate.
the qualifying and competency exams that they are giving right now are for the RN residency program. If you apply for the RN residency then that's what you will be, an RN resident/OJT/nurse trainee. Being absorbed for employment is not a part of that program, period.
If you really want to be employed in that hospital, you will need to file a SEPARATE application for "nurse-I/ staff nurse" position at the personnel division, pass a SEPARATE set of qualifying/ competency exams, SEPARATE interviews etc... But the problem is that they are not hiring staff nurses at this moment.
Training application is different from employment application. They are not interconnected with each other.

I see, so that's the reason why they have qualifying and competency exams. I think I'd rather pay and have a greater chance to be absorbed than to not pay and have no chance to be absorbed at all...
Me too... I really want to have a NURSING job.
Does anybody know when will afp start hiring again? Early next year perhaps?

6 months is still better than having none at all. which gives u you an edge over the others when you move on to other hospitals.
exam results are out!
goodluck to all those who passed!
