Visascreen

I am an American educated, NCLEX passed, gainfully employed RN who had to apply for a Visascreen from CGFNS and I was just wondering if there was anyone else here who is waiting for their's or better yet someone who has received a Visascreen.

HI EVERYONE

I am Bulgarian nurse,I passed NCLEX AND IELTS.

Even though I can`t pass CGFNS and ICHP.

My Nursing school sent to them all required documents.

They all the time are loseing the documents and asking again for new ones.

I am getting mad.

I never thought before that American official organization can be unresponsible like them.

I don`t know what to think to give up or to continue..

I don`t know why I am having this problem?

Maybe because I am Bulgarian.

Please advise me....

Hi TINA!

I am Bulgarian nurse with more than 20 years work-expirience.

I got an AMERICAN LICENSE and I passed IELTS.

This happened 6 months ago.

Since this time I am waiting CGFNS to review my file ...

All the time they asking me to send documents, they are loseing them and asking again.

I don`t know what to think.

Maybe they are doing this because I am Bulgarian AND MY DIPLOMA IS NOT RECOGNIZED by them?!

Today I sent faxes to all their managers...

I am very very upset...

You know Tina I spent about 3 and half years and a lot of money to pass exams and now the situation is more than terrible...

At the moment I am in Bulgaria doing a Nursing course updateing my diploma..

Please if you have any idea how to manage my situation write to me.

I just got mine. I applied in May, and got it towards the end of June. No problems.

Hi Diana :)

Sorry to hear you are having these problems but I really don't think your nationality has anything to do with this. Unfortunately, CGFNS are notorious for working at a snail's pace and for losing documents. A lot of nurses on this forum have had the very same problems, myself included. All I can say to you is - keep contacting them, every day if you have to. Faxes and emails go unanswered, so call them up on the phone. Try to get the name of the person you are speaking to and call them until they get sick of you. I too spent a lot of time and money getting them to review my file. Are your documents being sent by courier? You must make sure everything goes by courier, that way you have proof that they have been delivered. Wish I had something more to tell you, but you just have to keep on to them and don't give up.

Your friends are actually unable to call on your behalf, unless CGFNS has a letter on file giving them permission to do so. This is done for your protection.

Faxes do no good at all. You need to speak to a human, you should only be getting the answering machine if the offices are closed. Otherwise they are answered by a human..................
