Visa Screen

Published

Hi everyone,

I've just recently passed the NCLEX exam for Vermont and thus soon to apply for visa screen. I know for the fact that IELTS is among the requirements for this to take place. I just wondered is there a specific passing rate or grade that I should obtain in order to qualify for my application? Also, how long does it take for the visa screen to be process considering the retrogression that is actually happening at the moment?

Many thanks!

Thanks. i just really hope the school goes through with sending the form with the transcript...you just never know, especially since i used to work there, i know how these people are.

Now, i dont need to take the English exam, cuz my schooling was in english, but the VS website still says waiting on scores, that should get cleared when they get the form stating that my school was in english right?

i know i know, lots of questions..i just want to make sure i did it right. lol

once they confirm your status and it is proved that your training was in the US then they will waiver your english exams.

Sure things will be fine for you

Check out the International forum, I know this has been asked recently and think average score is 6.5.

Usually takes 4 months once everything is submitted, retrogression doesn't affect it at all. It is once you have employer and I140 has been approved before you get caught up in retrogression

>yes, you need to have an over all band score of 6.5 and a 7.0 in Speaking. My visa screen came after around 2 months. retrogression does not affect the process of the visascreen.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

I hope this doesnt take long.

I know i read right, but just asking, see if anyone knows... all they need is a COPY of my high school diploma right? they dont need the originals, or any kind of Validation for like they do for the University.

I sent that in with my photo...the status now is that they received the photo, but they still haven't posted that they received the HS diploma..and i'm wondering if they will take the copy that i sent...its just not updated on the status of my order and i'm starting to freak...maybe i didnt send the right info etc? any help?

I only sent photocopies of my secondary school certificate and it took a while to show up on file but had no problems

Visa Screen Certificate is handled thru CGFNS/ICHP and has nothing at all to do with the retrogression. Completely separate. It is required to complete the immigraiton process when the nurse is applying for a green card and is being petitioned by an employer. But it has nothing to do with USCIS otherwise.

yay!!!

My VSC is ready for review!!! they've received everything except the validation of my RN license from the state of Texas. Just a few more days!!

Please pray for me :o)

My Visa Screen got approved! Status is now "certified" and its been mailed out to me!!! yay!!

Hi everyone who. I would like to ask you what type of Visa must I tick on the ICHP Visascreen application? I am a BSN-RN intending to work in the US and hoping to bring my family with me when the opportunity arrives. I passed the IELTS and NCLEX last year.
