I know you all are here somewhere, speak up :)

Marymount University ACC BSN student. Stressed out beyond belief over finals and my med math test!!! I think I'm gonna puke...:imbar

I'm in the LPN program at J. Sargeant Reynolds, and I should graduate in December. I just started clinicals last week. :coollook:

hi everyone! im surprised to see so many ppl in the hampton roads area here! im a first semester lpn student, and we're about to take out a&p exams friday and im scared to death! trying to retain all the information! any good suggestions as to help prepare me for the exam? we're not allowed to take our tests home and we have only limited time where we are able to use them. any help would be appreciated!

i noticed some of you in the roanoke area. i grew up in roanoke and moved away probably 12 years ago. my husband is in the army. we are currently in germany and are being stationed in alabama in may. i am applying to nursing school there. we arent too sure where we want to retire from the military in two years. i am trying to figure out what the salary is for rn in roanoke area. i have noticed the houses are much higher then when i lived there. i guess i am wondering if its worth the move up there once he retires.

thanks

I've been lurking around for a while myself.

Finally saw J Sargeant Reynolds and had to chime in.

I am in Richmond, graduating RN AS program Dec 2006 at JSRCC that is if I pass this minimester of Maternity. Only have Peds and Acute Med left. Can't wait.....

Have you heard the latest about JSRCC not offering a LPN class this summer?

I heard that in class this past Monday. It may be the LPN RN transfer students only.

Not to complain about JSRCC but I have really heard a lot of neg about the LPN program. I know I didn't get a spot this summer due to lack of instructors so instead of graduating in Oct I will graduate in Dec. Something's gotta give about the instructor issue. It can be soo frustrating. Any other colleges locally having the same problems or is it just JSRCC?

Good luck all.

Hi!

I'm an LPN in Hampton Roads, I am attending Sentara's RN program. I will graduate Oct 2007!

If so - what program are you in? I am not in nursing school, but am consdering a carrer change (from IT into nursing). I start my first pre-req at NVCC in May. Unfortunately I need to work while getting the pre-reqs out of the way (to pay off debts), so I probably won;t be starting nursing school until 2 - 3 years (sigh). I am 47 now, so I hope to do an acceperated BSN or a direct-entry NP program. I'm looking at GMU, Georgetown, and Shannandoah Univ, so I'd LOVE to hear from anyone with any experience with these schools (yes, I have the links to the websites already, thanks).

Thanks!

As a matter of safety precaution, i'd be careful on how much info people share.

To whom was this directed? what info do you feel was too revealing?

What risk do you see? I don't see anythign that looks too revealing in this thread.
