Virginia Student Nurses?

Published

I know you all are here somewhere, speak up :)

I graduate this coming May 04 from Christopher Newport University. In the last class of nurses to come out of CNU... The president closed the program and its ALL politics. Jerk.

i was really interested to read that you are attending a ADN program in hampton roads, as i am moving to norfolk in july and have applied to the community colleges to continue from LPN to RN. i've been accepted to 2 community colleges, and i was wondering where you go to school.... do you know anything about the programs @ TCC or TNCC? i've also applied to NSU. thanks!

I will graduate from an 18 month progam at in Virginia Beach in November 2004. - I am currently working as a patient care aide at Obici Hospital. The staff is great at wanting to show and teach me new things. :)

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Hi Jieters,

I'm a student at TCC, I'm in my second semester of their program. I'm not an LPN, but from what I understand there are a few options for LPN's entering the program at TCC. PM me if you have any more questions!

Good Luck!

Not a student anymore, but I went to Warsaw Comm. Coll and J. Sargeant Reynolds. Anybody going there now. I graduated 91. Yikes that was about 13 years ago!!

I just moved to VA from WA state and I'm trying to scrape up the money to start towards my RN and I'm planning on attending J. Sargeant Reynolds..I know it was 13 years ago, but was the program good there?

Brooke:

Sounds like you have nothing to worry about. The associations is what everyone has trouble with. You know like (this is to that as that is to this)

Just get a good nights sleep and everything will be fine

Good afternoon

Keith

Hi, my name is Brooke and I am just finishing up the Pre-Nurse curriculum at John Tyler School of Nursing, I take my NLN this saturday and I am terrified!!!! I was told oh, you will do just fine, there is no need to study for the NLN! But after reading some of these posts, I am going to get the prep book today, I am just scared I will not be prepared. I took a much higher level math than needed for Pre-Nurse and made an A, English has always been a strong point for me, and I love science (I just made an A in Anatomy and Phys). What do you think, should I be scared, is a week enough time to prepare? I would love to meet some other Nursing students and get together and talk, have dinner, etc. I am a single mom with a 7 year old boy and I don't have any family in VA and don't know too many people, so it would be nice to have some people of similar interest to conversate with. Feel free to email me or just respond to this post.

Looking forward to meeting other student nurses in the Richmond area!

Brooke:)

JSR was good. didn't have any(that I remember) extra work. just careplans and multible choice tests, and clinicals. It wasn't that bad as I remember.

HI,

Hope things went well. Post a reply to let us know.

I know what you mean about burning up the tires!! I commute from Bedford County to ROanoke an HOUR every day each way. I gotta start taping lectures just so I can learn and drive at the same time!!!!
