Hi! I got a interview but have yet to hear back about the date. Anyone have this same issue? Please let me know!

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has yet to hear anything back from VCU? No interview or rejection to date

Honestly, no news is bad news at this point, IMO. They said July 1 is the date when everyone will know if they got admission. They still have to interview those whom they invited. If you haven’t heard anything by now, it’s pretty much over unless a whole bunch of people get admitted somewhere else and turn down their interviews.

Honestly I think you’re wrong and that’s a very pessimistic view. They already delayed, and they care more about getting a good cohort than meeting deadlines (which is why we are in this position). 
 

What is your source? Did the admissions committee tell you this? Do you have inside information? If not, save your negativity for yourself and don’t use your pessimism to stress everyone else out. We don’t need that here.

I am not trying to be negative. I am sorry if I offended you or stressed you out. But I literally think they don’t really care because they haven’t taken their time to keep us updated in any shape or form. An announcement or mass email would have been nice. I emailed more than 5 times but yet to receive any kind of response. I get it they get lots of emails but in this case, they should at least send a mass email explaining a delay or ask us to hang in there. In my personal opinion, they have way too many qualified applicants to select from that they literally could care less about responding to me or updating me. Like I said, I had no bad intent to add any more stress. I am just frustrated, that’s all.

Another reason why I think they won’t delay anymore is because in mid August there is a big AANA conference in Chicago that most schools participate in. I think they will wrap it up by July 1 to plan for this conference.

Remember what it’s like when patients families call incessantly for updates but you’re too busy with actual work and patient care to update them? That’s probably what these folks are going through. Give them the benefit of the doubt and hold out hope.

I think all of us that haven’t heard back are anxiously awaiting. However, the other poster made a really great point. Try not to have a pessimistic view and if you did indeed email them five times, please do not email them anymore.

They are behind on everything at this point. Even the people that have interviews don’t know when they are and haven’t received responses when inquiring.

I’m sure once you are an SRNA you will run into situations where things don’t go as planned and you have to adapt (and not panic and cause panic amongst others). We all know you want this. We are all in the same boat.  Just be patient and work on applications for other schools and mock interviews.

Hey, hang in there. I am in the same position. Not sure if my file is even still active.. waiting to hear back from anyone about anything at this point.
