Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

Hi everyone, and thank you Mike for starting this thread, my name is Joe. I received my acceptance letter last week, I'm very excited to start the program and meet some of you!

A little about me: I'm currently working on a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology here at Villanova and will graduate in December, however I've been on a General Pre-Med track from the start of my college career so I had already taken most of the prerequisites for the BSNexpress program. After becoming an EMT and taking a semester off to shadow various medical professions, I confirmed my desire to go into the medical field and, specifically, nursing.

They do rolling admissions, but are busy with the current class as well so don't be discouraged if you don't get a letter soon. I applied at least 4 months ago towards the end of the Spring 2014 semester so it does take some time.

The interview is a good chance for you to ask questions and make sure you are on the right track with regards to your application. Along with the personal statement, its a good way for them to get to know you because we are an especially unique group of applicants coming from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds.

@jaybuzz I didn't realize they were sending out acceptances now! Congrats for the acceptance!

Any other interviews or recent news from anyone?

They do rolling admissions so the sooner you apply, the sooner you should hear back. That said, don't freak out if someone hears back before you even if you submitted your application first because its not a completely linear process, they are quite busy with the current BSN express class as well!

Hey jaybuzz,

Congratulations! That must be nice to know where you're off to already. I'm so nervous!

Do you mind sharing your stats (mainly GPA)? If you don't want to, I understand. I'm not as "competitive" as other people I've talked to so it's a little bit nerve wrecking.

Sweetem - my friend absolutely loved it! She said it was a very pleasant experience and she loves the people there as well. I can't wait!

Congrats to those who have been accepted thus far! I was contacted today by email to schedule my interview! Question: Do you guys know if they interview everyone that applies? I am nervous now!

warriortac - i don't think they do. my friend is in the program and she told me an interview is a good sign, and as long as you nail that you're pretty much in! the interview is nothing to be worried about either. its a conversation mostly!

Hi everyone. I just submitted my application last night, but yesterday morning I received an email asking me to make interview appointment with Prof. Hickey. Is it possible to be invited for an interview even before we submit the application? And does anybody else have interview with Prof. Hickey? I'm so nervous about the interview but I haven't heard anything back from her.

Nitnotmul, that's crazy? Did you submit your transcripts for review before?

I have my interview next Tuesday the 30th. My interview is with Prof. Ellis. I will be making the journey to PA!!! Good luck to everyone once again.

I only sent my unofficial transcript to Kristin Barkdoll for the review few weeks ago. I was still confused if I wanted to apply or not, because I applied to Jefferson FACT last month. But after doing some research it seems BSN Express better than FACT. So I just submitted the application last night after they invited for an interview.

I don't when my interview will be. Good luck warriortac. I'm sure you'll do great :)
