  1. thats awesome! congrats! i can't say much because i had my interview with maryanne lieb, but it was basically her giving me information about the program. very conversational but i would prepare some answers for basic interview questions, like tell me about yourself, why nova, why nursing, etc. she only asked me one interview question but i was on a time crunch!
  2. my personal experience - i sent my transcripts, applied, waited a little over a month, was asked to schedule an interview, scheduled and had my interview, and acceptance came a little over a month later. definitely keep in touch with the person you interview with during the process as it helps them see you are interested
  3. hi! i would go onto your online application and where it says "interview" see if it says that an interview was requested. i don't think they usually call people for an interview before they pay the application fee, but i don't doubt that you got an interview either!
  4. warriortac - i don't think they do. my friend is in the program and she told me an interview is a good sign, and as long as you nail that you're pretty much in! the interview is nothing to be worried about either. its a conversation mostly!
  5. congrats on your acceptance! i was also accepted and will be seeing you in may!
  6. also it took them a little over a month to contact me after i applied but i'm sure it wont be that long for you since you applied closer to the deadline
  7. arsla27 i would email them and see if they received your transcripts! i've done that with other schools and they have had them and just didn't update the application yet. i'm sure you will be fine!
  8. hi laurag10! the interview was very much like a conversation, so i'm assuming it changes per person. she really spent most of the time talking to me about the program and trying to sell it to ME, which made me both excited and nervous because i was hoping to get to sell myself to them more haha. i have heard that they may ask questions like that, but she only asked me what i think the role of the nurse is. i would prepare for a variety general questions. villanova is my first choice too, and she told me the acceptance letters from the upcoming admissions meeting should go out early to mid october. praying we all get in!
  9. i just had my interview today! it was very relaxed and maryanne is so nice. she only really asked me one "interview" question and mostly talked about the program and asked if i had questions. i think it went really well. p.s they accept 120-130 and class sizes are around 80 :) good luck!
  10. congrats! how did it go?
  11. Thanks so much! I have two friends in the program as well and they cannot say anything bad about the program. I was leaning more towards Jefferson at first, but after more research I think i am definitely leaning towards Nova because of the breaks, the reputation, and I have just heard better things about the faculty and organization of the program. Thank you and good luck with the rest of your 14 months :)
  12. Hello! I am in the process of applying to accelerated bsn programs. I have my top two programs (jeff and nova) picked and have gotten an interview with nova scheduled for late august. I was wondering what people thought about both of these programs and why you would choose or have chosen one over the other. Additionally, if anyone can give any interview tips (mainly for nova bc its so soon!) i would really appreciate it. Also, how long after the interview do they usually let you know of their decision? Thanks!
  13. Hey everyone! I also got an email for an interview and scheduled mine for August 26th! Does anyone know for sure how long after the interview they will let you know of their decision? Jefferson FACT and Nova are my top choices. I am also still taking classes - finishing anatomy this year and nutrition and developmental psych in the spring semester. if i am accepted, i will take pathophys with nova online!
  14. I completely agree. And don't get me wrong, my mom wants me to be happy and do what I want, and I understand her reservations, but I think you are right. And especially since I will be paying for any education after undergrad including any nursing programs. So thanks!
  15. Hi! So I am a junior in undergrad and I have been back and forth between wanting to become a NP or a PA. I have finally decided that I want to do nursing. I would have to get into an accerated BSN program. However, my parents are paying for my undergraduate education, and I will pay for anything after that. My mom thinks it would be great for me to be a NP, but she is leaning towards me going to PA school instead because she feels that she wasted her money sending me to college just so that I have to get another bachelor's degree. She said I need to convince her that it is the smart thing to do, so if anyone could help me out on what to say to her, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
