Very First Patient Today!

Thank you Ms.(retired nurse) for being so patient with me and for being my first patient!

I was definately nervous today and although I was still functional, I was a little "out of my element"! My pt was so kind and so talkative that I kept loosing my place on the "client information sheet." Then she got me so off course that during the Head-to-Toe assessment, that I forgot the Health History!!! (eee gads!) ... my instructor made me go back to the room and complete the health history report. My patient was still very friendly and actually said she "enjoyed the company"

It really was fun! ... I think I'm going to love nursing!

I have decided that if I ever have a student nurse as my nurse, I am going to mess with them as hard as I can. Its nice to hear that you had such a good experience though. Dont worry that you forgot that, the first time you always forget something

It takes awhile for anything to be habit.

Oh a side note: I think that nurses talk more than regular people during exams since they know what's going on. Easy to get sidetracked.
