I'm really frustrated with my BF,friends and family's lack of understanding about the time sacrafice that has to be made to study for the NCLEX.Like for instance when I tell my BF that I cant see him during the weekday do to my time constrains and intense preparation for the NCLEX he totally dont comprehends and replies that I'm arleady done with school so why cant I make the time see him every other day....

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. The man and spawn just can't seem to get it through their knuckle-heads that I NEED TO STUDY!!! It doesn't matter how many times I plead and/or scream at them, they'll just keep getting my my last nerve (and trust me, I am seriously down to the one nerve). If anyone hears of a search for the woman who duct taped her family to the ceiling and left to rot, well that might just be me! :angryfire

Tell him you'll spend great quality time with him on the weekends and hopefully he'll understand that? I'm a male. Luckily, I graduated from nursing school with my GF, same school and class and same age! Except she's from another island in Hawaii and I'm at the other island so it's different. We both got to study together well during our last semester of school and even though I was with her after we graduated, we both buckled down and studied together at starbucks for the NCLEX. There we go, why don't you study/hang at starbucks with him or something if he's willing?

Im married and I get the same crap! My husband tells me that I have never failed a test before so why should I worry so much about this one. I want to scream and say because this one is like no ther one I have ever taken and this is the one that really counts!!! Im taking it Monday and he got upset because I wanted to study all day on saturday :) So I feel your pain...I really do! Good Luck everyone with NCLEX...we are almost there!!!

When people make it impossible for you to study then you need to take steps to counter this. Pack up your computer and books and go somewhere, the library, Starbucks, or a nice quiet place to park and sit in your car if you have to. Or turn off your phone and lock yourself in your bedroom. One would think that if they allowed you to get through nursing school, then a few more weeks of cooperation wouldn't be that hard on them. Well, good luck.

I studied about 3 hours a day, every day for two weeks. I also did Kaplan Live. Before that, I studied maybe an hour or so a day.
Make sure you make time to breathe and enjoy life. You need to give your brain a chance to absorb all that info.
PS - I passed my LPN Nclex with minimal (85) questions last June and I just found out I passed my RN Nclex with 75 questions this morning!
Heh yeah he said minium of two days a week I have to see him or else he will think I dont care about him.
He want to study with me (can you believe this!?) but no freaking way,he goes to slow...I would never study enough with him.Anyway I also work and usually at least one weekend day so I have to see him either during the middle of the week and sundays, or saturdays, insane.I swear I dont get it why people cant just understand the amount of time we have to devote in order to prepare for this insanely important exam that holds our future at stake!!!
Ps.I spend the entire freaking day with him today, didnt even open the books, nada and we still managed to get into argument when he made the suggestion that he would like to come over wensday and I told him I wont have the time since I work monday, friday and saturday this upcoming week!!
