VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Agreed Mrs. Norman is a riot.

So does VEEB always put 2 finals/midterms on the same day? Or will we get 1 a day eventually?

I really got caught off guard w/ the volume of material. Just finished studying for Taylor on to Lievano. :chuckle

There will always be 2 on the same day. We can't use teachers names in our post guys, due to privacy issues. Just go by the subject they teach.

Hellooooo,

just finished mid-terms last week and started clinicals this week. Everything went well and clinicals is suprisingly exciting. anyone else started clinicals this week?

I also am in clinical this week at Parker Jewish Institute. Last week i had my mid term exams. Today i go to VEEB to get my results. The only exam i am still struggling is H.D.I. I do not know what to do anymore. I study hard for this class i still get the average grade. Well, i guess i have to find another study habits for it.:(:banghead::confused::argue::cool::o:zzzzz

do you stay after for tutoring, I think it helps and its only 30 mins to 45 mins

As LPNs who have just passed the NCLEx, was it easy to find a job? It seems the jobs are mostly looking for RNs.

They are always looking for Rns, for real, especially in the hospitals. I know most nursing homes usually always need nurses though. Some people haven't taken that Nclex yet. Some don't want to work in LTC. You just have to push for what you want and honestly if you know someone, it's even better. A lot of agencies are not looking at new grads, either.

I am in the brooklyn area and I will definitely apply to VEEB. I read so many great things about it. but Iit is as a plan B cause I really really want to get into SVCMC I sent my application and essay there since dec 1st. I thought that VEEB starts in january not the end of it hmm.. maybe they change it this year.

I'm so excited about the unknown. I can't wait to get an acceptance letter from any of them lol

Akanini - what's your advice for me now in case of preparation. I have a 1y old who's all over the place I can't seem to get a focus yet.
