Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
Just wanted to let everyone know that SNYA Grants are avaliable for the 2011 class. Im not excatly sure how it works, BUT I think they make you sign a 2 year contract with them if you decide to accept their funding for school. This is a GREAT option for those who may not qualify for Financial Aid. Here's the website: http://www.snya.org/hwri.htm
I did SNYA and it was the best thing I ever did! You have to work 2 years for one of their 65 nursing homes (which are 1199 affiliated) 1199 will reimburse you if you decide to go for your RN license....You have to work part time, full time, or perdiem. SNYA pays for your tuition so that means no loans, financial aid, or paying out of pocket.Yay!! You can't beat that with a bat!

Can you give me specifics? How long after you apply do you hear something back? So they pay the school every semester, upfront or when you complete the program? How do you like working for SNYA?
I see everyone has been progressing into the process of the school, and I am so happy for you all. I wish you all a great experience with VEEB. Please let me know how it goes.
It's not over yet Glady. I didn't see this list everyone else saw. But I asked "If the class was full" and I was told no. Also, when I turned my deposit in the lady in the office said that there was not a huge response from the last batch of acceptance letters. If that's the case they have until this thursday and then seats are offered to the next batch. Call on Friday!!!
