Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
I'll be attending SNYA's orientation on July 2nd as well. I submitted my application via SNYA's website multiple times over the past week but was told they never received it! I decided to call the main office today and the receptionist said she had just received my application while we were on the phone. Huh?? LOL Anyway, hopefully their legit. :\ It's always good to have another option. Let's see how it goes...
Sounds good, where do you work now? Did they give you a job as soon you graduated?
I work at a nursing home here in Brooklyn. SNYA sent me there and I was hired on the spot. Oct. will complete my two years, however I just started Helene Fuld so I'm going to stay at my nursing home since I'm doing 1199 tuition reimbursement.
SNYA was awarded funding for 2010-2011 under a grant from the NYS DOH, Health Worker Retraining Iniative. It is similar to what the others have said but new and different and they are holding information sessions now. Some people have already applied and it is "first come- first served. " They have a webste at www.snya.org.

SNYA is "legit" They have a website at www.snya.org
There are nursing facilities in all boros of NYC, in LI, and in Westchester County...all in all approx 16,000 patients. They have been working with nursing students since 2003.
