VCU DNAP 2020 Applicants

Hi everyone!

wanted to start a thread for ppl applying to VCU DNAP program starting January 2020, where we can all share our stats and talk through the application process! Goodluck to all ?

Hey everyone! First of all, congrats to those who have received acceptance calls! As far as the rest of us, I know it is difficult waiting. I don't think no one should expect the worst at this time. I know that there is only a handful of people that actually post to this site, but I feel there is enough applicants posting that there would be more acceptances of they were done. There are four different sites, and I've only seen acceptances for two sites. Don't give up hope until we receive a notification stating otherwise.

Where did you see a person on here waitlisted? I couldn’t find it. I feel like so few people are accepted here. There got to be more. My D’s unit has people accepted every year by VCU. But all 3 people applied this year were interviewed but didn’t hear back. It’s unusual. I feel like her preceptor who got into Georgetown and Duke should be accepted. It’s very disappointing.

Just talked to my D. She said she heard from someone who knew a person who was told by the interviewers that she was a shoot in this year (because this is her second time applying and interviewed ) has not heard anything yet. So most likely the calls are not done. They are probably behind. It’s perfectly ok to pass June 1.

Hoping you are right ! Thanks for the positivity ? what other sites are you on ? I’m curious and trying to tally up how many have already been accepted to NOVA .

I think she meant the 4 VCU program sites, not websites. So far I only see 2 acceptances to NOVA on this thread.

oops. I just went back through the thread, no waitlist - I had been looking through last years thread to get a better idea of timing. However, someone on here did say that they received a rejection letter early this month.

The person that said they received a rejection letter was referring to that they didn’t get an interview invite. That person is on the that keeps saying do Psych N.P.

Do you think we might hear something tomorrow or do we think everyone is out until the 28th?

From the way it sounds, everyone is out until the 28th unless everyone didn’t go.

Hi there, I interviewed April 18 for NOVA and did not get the call.

Keep your eyes out for calls today. The faculty is in Tennessee but Amanda just called me with the good news!
