  1. The GRE is a requirement and since they are allowing people to take the GRE at home now, I do not think this requirement is being waved. I am not sure of the application deadline but if it has not passed and you are able to take it, I would recommend trying to.
  2. I am a current student in my first year. Interview process is not bad. It is about 4 hours long. The first portion of it will be a presentation of the program. Second portion is usually where you will go on a tour and complete interviews. You will rotate between professors' offices for about 10 minutes each. For my interview, there were 2 professors in each interview. They will ask personality type questions, nothing difficult (why CRNA, why Pitt, what have you done to prepare, and questions similar to that). I honestly thought 10 minutes each was too short because I was trying to wrap up every time we had to rotate lol) Usually, the clinical questions are asked one-on-one with a student in their last year (which were not bad questions). Just be yourself, they want to get to know you, dress well, and be confident. If you do not know an answer to a clinical question, just say you don't, but offer up that you will find out the answer. The professors and director are very nice and not intimidating. It just seems that way in the interview, but always smile, and try to make them laugh somehow. Also, research the professors, get to know who they before your interview. Every one at the interview is qualified for the program, you have to make yourself stand out. If anyone has questions, feel free to reach out. It make take a few days for me to respond due to exams and other course work, but I will get back to you
  3. the group on facebook is called Pitt CRNA DNP Cohort 2020-2022
  4. I am creating the group now on Facebook. I need to have at least one email address to add to create it. If I can have a least one person private message me their email address associated with their facebook, I would appreciate it. I will then create and set to private, and post the name of group on allnurses(so that people admitted can find it). Once we start getting our school email, we can have everyone send it in so that you can stay in group. We do not want random people staying in the group that is not associated with the cohort.
  5. I will make one. I’m guessing it’s class of 2023. And I will put the information here later
  6. I am so excited. I start in January. It does not seem real for sure. Did anyone make a Facebook page? If not I will make one
  7. For the people accepted, was it a call from Dr. O’Donnell or did anyone get a call from someone else? Dr. Neft called and left me a message this morning. I was sleeping due to being on nights this week. I called back and left a message. I am so nervous now and will not be able to sleep. It would be the best birthday present ever though if I am accepted. Fingers crossed!!!!
  8. Spoke with someone at school and final decisions will be made around June 1st
  9. I wonder when final decisions will be made since the last interviews are complete. No one else posted from the second admission deadline.
  10. I will private message you. But to answer the question about the final answer by June 1st. I think people will know by June 1st if they are waitlisted or rejected but if waitlisted, you can be accepted all the way up to when class starts depending if someone drops out. They may drop out due to many reasons, they chose another school, or personal reasons.
  11. Yes, I received email today at 1300 est. I know of two people that were accepted at VCU and another school so that could open up at least two spots if they decide to pick the other school. I’m trying to stay positive also.
  12. I got the email for her a little bit ago about being waitlisted for Richmond. The emailed stated that if I had any questions to email her. I emailed her with a few questions and did not get the automated email return. The other day I emailed her and did get the email return. I wonder if she has her email set up that all incoming emails are sent an automated return unless one replies to the waitlist email?!! I still do not have high hopes of getting off the waitlist and accepted. ?
  13. Congrats!! Just now after 5pm eastern time
  14. Congrats!!! Was NOVA your top choice?
