Hey everyone! Just thought I would create a page for us to chat about the upcoming application process and everything that follows! I graduate in May 2020 and am hoping to apply for the CVICU or the adult ED.

I did not write a cover letter because the application requires a letter of intent. They are adamant about not addressing it "to whom it may concern" so I wrote Dear Nurse Residency Program.

Hey guys, I know I am way late on this haha! My name is Justene, I am from Illinois, and I accepted for the adult acute care track! I am so excited to meet everyone and move down to Nashville! My name is Shannon and I am also really late on this thread haha....I just did my interview for the heart and vascular institute today and got a position offer. I'm originally from the Bay Area in CA, but just completed my RN program in Boston. I'm really excited to make the move to Nashville! Hey CONGRATS on getting a job at Vanderbilt! I'm graduating Spring of '21 and am interested in Vanderbilt, I was wondering what helps you stand out to get an interview?

I had five offers, for new grads depending on the hospital unit, starting pay is around $23-$25/hr. Usually another $3-$3.50 for night shift, which you're basically guaranteed to be on as a new grad here.
