Long story short, I’ve been in adult med surg for about 8 months now and feel so drained. I originally wanted to do peds but couldn’t get a job so started in med/Surg instead. IDK if it’s nursing that’s not for me or med/surg that’s not for me. I’ve been looking at recent openings for our children’s hospital. Any opinions on peds hem/onc or just peds in general? Hem/Onc has kinda been interesting me lately but I’m open to hearing about all experiences! Thanks!

Hi! So I know of at least three people (myself included) who was waitlisted for this Summer and then were offered to choose from Adult Acute Medical, Adult Acute Surgical, or Adult Cardiac Stepdown tracks! It was probably a month after I was waitlisted when I got this offer. I was waitlisted for Obstetrics and now I’m on a general medicine unit!

I was a bit taken aback when she said that....

I got an email last Friday that I’m an alternate for Mom Baby. Still no response. I emailed ---- and she said you can be contacted up to a month before start date, which is kinda inconvenient if you have other offers/banking on this one

I’ve heard testing centers have been closing.... which I guess could potentially delay when we take our NCLEX? A friend of a friend said her NCLEX was cancelled this week

They didn’t add me til morning of! And then they called me on the phone before my interview to check with everything!

Hey I interviewed for Mom/Baby OB and the only question I was asked regarding the unit was why I chose that track! I looked up behavioral nursing interview questions and did fine!
