I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?
Thank you, This is all very helpful information. I did watch the webinar from the Nurse Midwifery Program Director, as I watch it now I realized I missed a lot of information LOL. I don't have any children, just a puppy mommy, but I imagine this could be a bit challenging for me financially.
I appreciate having platform specifically this one to connect and share.

Other options to gain knowledge about the program would be to attend one of the admissions information sessions and/or the open house that they hold. Of course those that are admitted will have the opportunity to attend the "Admitted Student Day".
It's so funny that you brought this up. I literally just watched this video again after I left my comment a few hours ago (I hadn't watched it in about 9 months and needed to refresh on specific details). It just gets me so excited about their program that I really don't know how I'm going to be able to wait another 3-4 weeks until we find out...

And just to make sure no one has received the financial aid email yet right?
I haven't received it yet, no. I put it in my calendar to be on the lookout for it by the end of the month. So, maybe next week?

I applied for FNP. I haven't received a financial aid email yet. Actually, I haven't received anything since the initial "application complete" email.

I considered it but wasn't totally sure, so ended up going with just Midwifery. Was just thinking about it again today though and wondering if I'd add FNP if they let me. My heart is definitely with midwifery but for just 1 more semester the FNP does open up a lot more options too! What made you choose the dual?

If we get into the same places, we'll have to connect offline ? I hate online classes too. I'm pretty optimistic with the vaccines that we'll be in person. Even if there's supply issues and the general population isn't all vaccinated yet, I'm guessing clinical rotations are grounds for any incoming students to get it by August.
