Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Entry 2021

Published

I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

I am having a lot of mood swings. I go from hopeful to "you might as well start on Plan B" It's getting hard to stay sane LOL. So far, I have avoided rereading what I've submitted. I think if I do that, and I notice any kind of mistake, I will pass away. The waiting time has made me realize I need to pick up some hobbies outside of being a student.

Agreed! The wait has been killing me can’t believe I submitted everything by October 15th and it’s already January.

So anxious! I feel like I should apply to more schools as like triple back ups

I honestly do not know how to feel at this point. I'm nervous and excited at the same time to find out. I hate the unknown...

I have an interview for another program tomorrow, so that’s taken up all my anxious vibes for the week, but once that’s done it’s going to be a whole lot of sit and wait. I do feel oddly pessimistic about Vanderbilt, given it’s so competitive and there’s no opportunity to show your maturity/personality etc in an interview. As much as the interview is stressful to prepare for, it’s hard knowing what I put in my app is all they have to go off of. I also expect to hear from them last, so ***hopefully*** by then I’ll have at least one great option and throwing Vandy in the mix would be great but not too big a deal if it’s bad news. (I only applied four places that I felt were really great fits so I’d be really happy with any of them).

Hello Everyone,

jumping in late, I submitted my application right after the priority deadline. I promised myself that I would cool, calm and collective throughout the waiting period, but as we get closer to decisions I'm a nervous wreck.

Are we still thinking Feb 14th for decisions to come out? I was hoping it would be Feb 1st!

I don’t think it’ll be until mid Feb! Vandy is always last to make their choice. In the meantime, I found out that I was accepted to Johns Hopkins!

Yay congratulations!

What other schools did people apply to? I applied to GWU also.

It’ll be the third week of Feb I believe! At least that’s what my email says:)

I was accepted to JHU also! What track for you?! Hard to wait so we can compare the two decisions and pick one (if we get in)!

I applied to AGACNP at Vanderbilt. If you got accepted to both, which would you choose? Any ideas?
