Hello!
I am graduating in December and I have the summer off so I've begun looking at potential places that I'd like to work.
I'm thinking I'd like to do a nurse residency because I want to work in a pediatric Critical Care setting (PICU or Peds ER) and I feel like having that whole year with someone helping me and that I can ask questions without feeling like an annoying dummy.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here was looking at Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency for February 2018? I'm not from Nashville, but I'm also not too far away as I'm from North Alabama. I'd appreciate any tips about the residency or about Nashville!
Thanks
Reviewing meds/materials, buying supplies, etc? Stuff like that......or if anyone has found any neat/interesting articles about starting the first nursing job
I need to study up on my heart meds. lol I never saw myself seriously going into cardiac stuff. I also need to study the types of stuff that they deal with since I've only ever had fundamentals on a cardiology floor (for 3 weeks no less). I AM WAY TOO NERVOUS! I'm calm until the situation passes. I need graduation to come and go and NCLEX to come and go and the first day(s?) to come so I can be like "I survived already, it's over. It's not horrible." Anyone with me? lol

I would think we would hear something either way. It will be two weeks tomorrow that I interviewed for L&D and I haven't heard anything yet.
