Hi guys! Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for Summer 2021 opened up yesterday. I'm starting this thread so we can all keep up with the process together! Who is applying?

Just received an email to schedule an interview for a General Medicine floor!

Thank you! Hoping for the best. Yes, it was one of my preference tracks. My number 1 was in a Women's Health unit but I wasn't banking on getting that

Gotcha! Yeah women’s health, peds, all of those are pretty tough. I’m sure it’ll go great though!! My email said I should hear something by March 22nd so keeping my fingers crossed

I got the email about hearing this week yesterday and then got an email this afternoon about meeting over zoom with Trauma ICU!

Btw hi I’m Caroline I’m in my last semester at University of Miami in FL and I applied to Women’s and Adult Critical Care! Keeping my fingers crossed on Women’s even tho it’s a reach... Anyway I heard from a friend in the 2020 cohort that she got her offer the same afternoon of her interview!! IDK if that’s because it was later with COVID and stuff but how exciting! Good luck to everyone ??

I got the March 22 email yesterday. Just now received an email for an interview with the Burn ICU! It was my third choice but still pumped! So don’t lose faith if you got the March 22 email!

OMG that’s amazing!! Congrats!! I had burn as my 3rd choice too, trying to hold out hope for women’s (or literally anything haha). Good luck and thanks sm for the update! ?

I bet you got one of your first two for interview then! I don’t think anyone has heard from women’s yet.
