A place to share excitment, news, personal stats, tracks and anything else you care to share!

Congrats! It's so exciting, I've been on cloud nine especially since I found out I passed the NCLEX this week too! Where in Colorado are you from?! I've been living in Nashville since January but I'm back in CO until the end of June, maybe we could get together at some point! I'm hoping we get the Facebook group invite soon too! What school did you go to?

Ahhh - so envious of you! Congratulations!!! That's EXTRA exciting! I actually went out of state for college in PA! But I'm from the Denver area and I'll be back in the next few days. We should definitely get together before you head out again! My email is [email protected], shoot me an email when you get the chance :)

I just got off the wait list for Pediatric Critical Care Track! I am so incredibly excited!!

JCBSN76- It won't let me private message you. I found out May 27. The facebook group hasn't been created yet, right? I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything, having just gotten off the wait list. I'll be searching for roommates and a place to live as soon as it opens!

Hi! I just got off the wait list this past week too! For pediatric critical care! I actually searched for the facebook group and added myself to it! You just have to have someone approve you. I am looking for roommates as well so keep me in mind :)

The facebook group is called "Summer 2014 Vanderbilt Nurse Residency"

I graduate in December of 2014 with my Associates Degree in Nursing. I plan on pursuing my BSN through some sort of online RN to BSN program. I'm also looking at applying for the Vanderbilt Nurse Residency program following my graduation with my Associates. Does Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency program accept any ADN applicants?

Not anymore. They did grandfather employees in. This summer's cohort is the last of the employees being able to apply unless they have a BSN.

Okay thank you. I do know one of the qualifications is 6 months or less of experience. So if I get a job with my ADN and start and complete an BSN program but do not have my BSN within 6 months of me landing a job there would be no way for me to be able to do their residency program then? That really stinks because once I graduate with my Associates, I'll want to work to help pay for my BSN program but if I want to apply to the Vandy Residency I would have to finish it within 6 months.

Hi everyone! I'm looking into applying for this program next year but was wondering if anyone knew if more people applied for the Summer Program as opposed to the Winter one. I'm really nervous about applying and was wondering if anyone had any advice in particular. My GPA isn't as high as the ones that people have listed here, but I have a lot of volunteering hours and good relationships with professors to get good recommendations. Thank you and congratulations to everyone that was accepted for this year!!

If you get six months or more of experience you can work there as an ADN. :) as far as paying for your degree you have to be there for 3 years to get tuition assistance for nursing. Otherwise you will get 70% of a 3-4 credit hour class a semester. I'd bypass the BSN and do a bridge program for your masters. That's what I'm doing.

Hey everyone! Congratulations to all those that got into the residency. I am going to be applying next month for the Winter 2015 starting in February. Anyone have any advice about the process? Please comment here, on the board I started for Winter 2015 (https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/vanderbilt-nurse-residency-933559.html), or message me. I would love to hear your experience and any helpful advice!

Could you all post your stats? GPA, health care experience, volunteer hours, and leadership positions are what I'm asking of you. I want to know what I should be working on while I'm in nursing school these next 2 years.

Thanks in advance.
