Wgu bsn start date 11/1/15
Hi! I'm Sarah and also will be starting at WGU on 11/1/15. I have 40 units to complete and I'm hoping to complete it as quickly as possible (within one to two terms). I have to take Human Growth and Development Across the Lifespan, Introduction to Sociology, Biochemistry, and Introduction to Probability and Statistics prior to any of the core nursing classes. Looking forward to starting this BSN journey!

Thank you for the help! What? None of your classes transferred? That's wild! Is this common?

WGU RN-BSN October 2015 start date
WGU sent me an email on September 1st stating they had received my transcript from the AP Board. So now the evaluation of my transcripts can occur! I was definitely doing a happy dance that they were finally received because this has been what has been holding me back from enrolling since June!! About how long did it take for WGU to evaluate your transcripts everyone?

New-ish grad interested in travel nursing!
Thank you for all of the advice! I really appreciate it. It looks like I'll stay put for another two years or so. I guess I'll just begin research so I know what are the good and bad places to work through when my time comes. Do any of you all have agencies you would recommend or not recommend?

New-ish grad interested in travel nursing!
Hello everyone! My name is Sarah. I graduated with my ADN in December, started working on a Med/Surg floor in January as an RNA and passed my NCLEX in April. I'm also in the process to enroll in a BSN program that I will hopefully complete over the course of the next 2 years. After being an RN for a few months, I've looked into the idea of becoming a travel nurse however from what I have heard most agencies/hospitals prefer for you to have experience. How much experience is usually needed before an RN becomes a travel nurse? Just looking for any suggestions or advice as this is an area I'm hoping to pursue in the future!

Hello! I'm Sarah. I'm planning on (hopefully) starting October as well! I'm ready to begin this BSN adventure with you all!

WGU RN-BSN October 2015 start date
Hello! I'm Sarah. I'm also projected to start in October. I am just waiting for my AP score to arrive at WGU and then have my transcripts evaluated as well. I'm very excited about starting! I will gladly stay in contact. The more support the better! :) Does anyone have any suggestions as to which classes would be good to take together? I'm hoping to finish them quickly and add on some more throughout the term. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I'll gladly take it!

Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2014
Okay thank you. I do know one of the qualifications is 6 months or less of experience. So if I get a job with my ADN and start and complete an BSN program but do not have my BSN within 6 months of me landing a job there would be no way for me to be able to do their residency program then? That really stinks because once I graduate with my Associates, I'll want to work to help pay for my BSN program but if I want to apply to the Vandy Residency I would have to finish it within 6 months.

ADN in the OR?
Loved reading everyone's responses! I'm pretty much in the same boat SweetSouthernLove! I graduated in December with my ADN and am interested in OR. I also plan to complete an RN to BSN program but wan to wait to see if where I get hired will help at all.

Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2014
I graduate in December of 2014 with my Associates Degree in Nursing. I plan on pursuing my BSN through some sort of online RN to BSN program. I'm also looking at applying for the Vanderbilt Nurse Residency program following my graduation with my Associates. Does Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency program accept any ADN applicants?

All the Nurse Residency Programs you ever wanted
I really would love to do a nurse residency program. Not totally sure of a location. But I do have a question... I will be graduating in December with my ADN. Does anyone know of a residency program that accepts ADN? I plan on doing an RN to BSN program somewhere... Not sure as to where as of yet (I'm thinking somewhere online). However, all the residency programs I have looked at have only been for those that have graduated with a BSN.
