To those accepted into the Pediatric Either Track- by what date are you required to accept the offer?

@MAgradnurse- First of all, I’m not sure how strict they are or if there will be a condition in your contract, but at the very least I would imagine if you broke your word to them it would reflect badly on you and you couldn’t use them as a reference for your next job. Why go to such a prestigious hospital if you can’t use them as a reference? Second, your comment makes me really, really sad. I am on the wait list for the adult critical care track and Vanderbilt was my first choice. I was not only excited about the incredible year of training they provide, but also the opportunity to stay, continue my learning, and grow in the nursing profession. I don’t mean to sound like I'm picking on you. It's not your fault I didn't get in. You clearly beat me out and were the better candidate in their eyes. Kudos to you. I just hope if you really do accept the position that you don’t throw it away and you seize the amazing opportunity you’ve been granted. Best of luck to you.

Does anyone remember what the shift differentials were? I know they told me in the interview but I can't find where I wrote it down. I think critical care was an extra dollar an hour as well?

@bl23, when do you have to accept their offer by?

Hoping I get pulled off the wait list soon!

@softballsmarty, I had to accept their offer by 5/7 at noon. Keep your fingers crossed & don't give up! I'm sure they'll be pulling people from the waitlist for a while :)

Does anyone know when they are going to make a Facebook group for us? I need a roommate!

They sent an email this morning :)

I think critical care gets an extra dollar per hour. Weekends are $6 more per hour and nights are $3 more from 19:00-23:00 and $3.50 more from 23:00-07:00.

I think you're right about critical care being $1/hr more. From what I remember, weekends are $6/hr more and nights are $3/hr from 19:00-23:00 and $3.50 from 23:00-07:00.

I just got off the wait list this morning for the surgical track! I'm really excited, but I also interviewed for their Peri-operative internship program and found out I got that job yesterday. Now I'm having to decide between the two. I'm most likely going with the residency, it just seems like a better opportunity! I'm really excited to get this adventure started! Is there a Facebook group yet?

Hey, Kristin! I also just got off the Surgical Track waitlist last week and just accepted it! I think I also saw you're from Colorado? I am from there, too! I think they will be sending the Facebook group early next week (hopefully)! Congrats to you!!!

Congrats! It's so exciting, I've been on cloud nine especially since I found out I passed the NCLEX this week too! Where in Colorado are you from?! I've been living in Nashville since January but I'm back in CO until the end of June, maybe we could get together at some point! I'm hoping we get the Facebook group invite soon too! What school did you go to?
