Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2013

This thread is for those who are applying for the nurse residency program at Vanderbilt. I thought this would be a great place to keep up to date Inge selection process and make connections with new friends and colleagues. I am currently in my final year of nursing school at UCCS in Colorado. My goals are to be accepted for the adult critical care track an then return to school and become a CRNA. I know the job market is very competitive, especially for residency programs. I completed the online application 2 days ago and am waiting to hear back for more instructions. Good luck to everyone:)

Okay, is anyone else freaking out about this deadline?! My intern reference still hasn't submitted her form and I can't get ahold of her! I have all my other references though and all the other paperwork. If she doesn't respond by tomorrow I'm gonna ask the recruiter if she can take her name out

JOaK, you have to less than 6 months experience working as an RN at the time you applied. Good luck to you too :)

Does anyone know how many persons per track they accept? Is it a set number per track, or same number per track?

Got my references sorted out. I'm not sure how many they accept but I don't think it's a set number. If you look at the NRP yearbooks from past programs it's different numbers!

For those of you who already received the final email saying your packet is complete and to wait until mid February for more instructions- how long after you finished your application did you receive that email? My final reference finally submitted the form yesterday and I have gotten confirmation emails for each part of the application, but I haven't received that final email!

I sent everything in on dec 18th and didn't hear until jan 8th. I doubt you will get that email before tomorrow but if they already emailed you about each part then you should be good

Just wanted to introduce myself. I submitted my application at chose the Women's Health track. I will be graduating in May. Super excited and hoping for some good news soon!
