This thread is for those who are applying for the nurse residency program at Vanderbilt. I thought this would be a great place to keep up to date Inge selection process and make connections with new friends and colleagues. I am currently in my final year of nursing school at UCCS in Colorado. My goals are to be accepted for the adult critical care track an then return to school and become a CRNA. I know the job market is very competitive, especially for residency programs. I completed the online application 2 days ago and am waiting to hear back for more instructions. Good luck to everyone:)
Hello friends. I feel very humbled to have received an interview for critical care. I have some volunteer experience, was a medic in the Army, have a 4.0 gpa, and did an internship at Mayo last summer. I was wondering if people are planning on doing Skype interviews or plan on making the trip to interview in person. Do you think Skype hurts your chances? Also, I was wondering if they informed anyone about how many applications they received this year? Thanks all and good luck :)
I got an interview for the Med/Surg Track! I'm so excited to even get the interview.
@bohl9245 I was wondering the same thing. I live in Delaware, so it's a nice 12 hour drive to get there for the interview. I was considering the Skype interview, but I think I'm going to travel during my spring break so it is a more personable and memorable interview.
Time to start preparing...
Hey there! I received an email today for an interview for Peds :).. I go to the University of Miami but am from New York soo Nashville is definitely a bit different from what I'm use to.. That could be a good thing though.. I also am worried about the Skype interview hurting my chances but at the same time it would be difficult to fly there during the semester

I got an interview for the pediatric track! I know this does not guarantee placement, but I am very excited for this opportunity to be apart of such a great program.
