Vanderbilt MSN 2020

Updated:   Published

I just attended Vanderbilt's fall open house for the 2020 year and I'm really excited to be applying! I'm hoping to connect with other Vandey applicants so we can offer support and info along this process. I am applying to the post BSN dual CNM/ FNP program.

I was accepted into the Post-Graduate MSN PNP program! Wondering if there's a group message or Facebook group for people that have been accepted? Does anybody know?

Hi! Were you accepted to the outside middle Tennessee group or inside middle Tennessee group? Congratulations!!!

I was accepted to the outside middle Tennessee group! Approved to do clinical rotations in Austin, Texas where I am from. ?

General followup question- are there any current or prior Primary Care PNP students that went straight through without gaining any RN experience, how easy was it to find a job, and would you suggest doing it again?

I applied for Postmaster to DNP program, and I just had an interview. It was the most intense and challenging interview ever in my life.. Congratulations, everyone who was accepted, and Good luck everyone who is still waiting for results or interview.

Hi Ggoi, I was curious if you would mind telling me what questions they asked you. Did they ask you anything regarding your essays or statement? Thanks! Best of luck!

This is really unprofessional. No one should answer these types of questions. Have pride that you will do well on your own merit.

Hi I am currently applying for Vandy as well, I just submitted my application last Monday for PHMNP. Have you heard from them already? I'm hoping that I'll be accepted for fall 2020.

Most people that applied by the priority application deadline of November 1st have heard back. You should hear back probably in March or April.

Thank you so much. ?

Hey Folks!

I was waitlisted for pre-specialty FNP as I've posted about before. I called admissions and they said they took about 4-5 people off of the waitlist last year. However, I failed to ask how many people were placed on the waitlist. Does anyone know the answer to this question so I can grasp a better understanding of my chances of getting off of the waitlist? I would call again but I don't want to sound too needy haha. Congrats to all the new admits!

I am on the waitlist for the PMHNP post grad certificate program. I emailed asking about the number of accepted students in the PMHNP PGC cohort (among asking a couple of other questions), but didn’t get this question answered. Does anyone know how many slots they’ve typically had for post grad certificate students in the years past?

Thanks and congratulations to all who have been accepted! Fingers crossed!

I was waitlisted for pre-speciality FNP also so at least two of us. I wish we knew where we were on the waitlist

Current students--

I know this may seem pre-mature, but do you have any recommendations for apartment hunting? I'm coming in town for Admitted Student's Day, so I was planning on touring some while I'm in town.
