Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

Yes, I applied to the FNP program last year but gained a lot of experiences over the last year and really enjoy inpatient- hence the change in plans lol. The application does look a lot different this year and has changed a lot even over the last couple of weeks. I am so anxious to get this process started even though I know my anxiety will sky rocket until Feb again.

Just called the admissions department and there is a delay in the application opening due to updates still being done. They are now shooting for Friday, 9/21/18, but it's out of their hands, she said. She mentioned that a blast email will be sent once fall 2019 is open.

VUSN Website: There is a delay in opening the fall 2019 application. Please try again on September 21 and you will be able to select fall 2019. The School of Nursing begins reviewing MSN and post-master's certificate applications for admission on November 1st, after which admissions are on a rolling basis. There is no published deadline; however, programs are very competitive and have a limited number of spaces for incoming students. Applicants who meet the November 1st early action date have a greater probability of being admitted.

Looks like the application still isn't available? I'll be applying to the prespecialty pmhnp program this year, nice to meet you all. Anybody know if they do interviews for prespecialty or PMHNP people?

Hi there!

Yes, they do. I applied after the priority deadline last year and had an interview in Feb 2018.

Another update from their website "There is a delay in opening the fall 2019 application. When the fall 2019 application is open, a notice will be posted here. Please do not attempt to complete portions of the application until it is officially open. Our apologies for the delay."

I have been anxiously checking all month. I hope it opens soon. It's my last application to complete and it's my #1 choice

Hello all! Glad the application opened. I guess I didn't realize there would be three prompts plus an essay. I know what I'm doing this weekend :)

Have any of you been to a VUSN open house before? I'm registered for next week. Very excited!

I went to the Open House last year and really enjoyed it! The information sessions with admissions, financial aid, and the specialty directors were incredibly helpful. I was glad I went!

Hey guys, I have a question! I know the GRE isn't required this year, but if we've taken it, and think the score would help us, should we send it anyway? Thanks!

Hi there! I asked them the same question a few months ago. They said they won't even look at it. You might want to call and confirm though
