NP Salaries
Ho did you get your job? Every job I see posted for psych NP requires at least 2 years experience, and starting pay is like 100k.

Any Pmhnps here? I have a couple of questions?
I'm thinking about pursuing this career. I am a former med student that initially wanted to be a psychiatrist but had problems with the board exam. I am applying to PMHNP programs now. Did you feel the depth of your didactic and clinical training was enough to treat patients? I'm concerned if the training programs will go into enough depth to make me comfortable as a practitioner. Also, how is the job market for pmhnp?

Vanderbilt MSN 2019
Hi. If you don't mind me asking what was your GPA when you applied last year?

Vanderbilt MSN 2019
Usually letters and transcripts are allowed to come in later, because admissions people know how letter writers can turn in things late, or at the last minute sometimes.

Med school drop out, now a CRNA. Ask me anything...
Hopefully you are still answering questions. But I am a lot like you. I did ok in the first 2 years of med school but could not get past the USMLE. I am applying for ABSN and then to PMHNP school right after. How difficult would you say an accelerated BSN is compared to the first 2 years of med school? Also what are anatomy and clinicals like in a ABSN program? I'm guessing nurses don't dissect cadavers.

Vanderbilt MSN 2019
My GPA is 3.3, I have never taken the GRE but I have completed the first 2 years of med school. I don't know what to expect, my app is unconventional and if I get in I'll be entering at age 31 as a non trad.

Vanderbilt MSN 2018
Hi , I will be applying to Vandy for prespecialty and PMHNP, I think the program is accelerated with 1 year for the BSN, and one year for the MSN, so is the entire program completed in 2 years? Also did you feel competent enough to practice telepsych after 2 years of training?

Looks like the application still isn't available? I'll be applying to the prespecialty pmhnp program this year, nice to meet you all. Anybody know if they do interviews for prespecialty or PMHNP people?
