Vanderbilt MSN 2018

Published

Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

@KMD51 those are all great choices and I think you would definitely get in to several of those no doubt because you seem like you have really neat volunteer experience as well as a variety ( being both Children's hospital and hospice ) . But I actually loved UVA. The campus was so beautiful. I love their weather cause they actually have seasons there. People are very nice and they offer a great program, their facilities are also well renowned. The only thing in my opinion that I wasn't a huge fan of was the surrounding city, it was so small and we were only there for three days and had a a hard time finding stuff to do there.

That doesn't really matter too much in the grand scheme of things but comparing it to Nashville I think it's hard to beat the city of Nashville.

I'm actually 35 min north of Nashville currently. We love it, and the weather is great here as well. Vanderbilt's program is really unique, too. Good luck to you and those still waiting!

@KMD51 Ah I'm so jealous of you ! I think Nashville and Vanderbilt are just a dream, can't imagine a better place to live and go to school . Good luck to you too too, if you get in update the page ! Rooting for you !

Is there any one participating in this thread who attends Vanderbilt in the Psych NP (PMHNP) program? If so, what is the overall communication style of faculty and staff? As a student, do you find them to be pleasant or off-putting to you overall? I'm anxious about going to a school where students are treated like no one really wants them there. What's your experience?

If anyone on the waitlist for FNP or midwifery hears anything... please put me out of my misery and update the forum... waiting is treacherous. Haha.

Also, Happy Monday.

Have any PMHNP waitlisted applicants or PMHNP Round II applicants heard anything? If so, please post

I am currently on the waitlist for FNP, but I got an email from Dr. Pitts yesterday asking if I was willing to switch to OMTA. She didn't say whether or not I was accepted, though. Will wait and see!

@nctoca, BSN, RN ahh that is so exciting !! That sounds like you got it, fingers crossed and keep us posted !

I got off the waitlist! Just got my offer letter--they sent me an email with a status update. It did include scholarship and financial aid information. To encourage you all, I applied late and really thought I had lost an opportunity. Stay positive! :)

@nctoca, BSN, RN Congratulations.

ahh wohoo! Congratulations !!

@MGMargolis: I am a PMHNP waitlisted applicant. What's Round II?
