Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!
@KMD51 those are all great choices and I think you would definitely get in to several of those no doubt because you seem like you have really neat volunteer experience as well as a variety ( being both Children's hospital and hospice ) . But I actually loved UVA. The campus was so beautiful. I love their weather cause they actually have seasons there. People are very nice and they offer a great program, their facilities are also well renowned. The only thing in my opinion that I wasn't a huge fan of was the surrounding city, it was so small and we were only there for three days and had a a hard time finding stuff to do there. That doesn't really matter too much in the grand scheme of things but comparing it to Nashville I think it's hard to beat the city of Nashville.
I'm actually 35 min north of Nashville currently. We love it, and the weather is great here as well. Vanderbilt's program is really unique, too. Good luck to you and those still waiting!
Is there any one participating in this thread who attends Vanderbilt in the Psych NP (PMHNP) program? If so, what is the overall communication style of faculty and staff? As a student, do you find them to be pleasant or off-putting to you overall? I'm anxious about going to a school where students are treated like no one really wants them there. What's your experience?
